I spent 4 weeks in Viet Nam, traveling from Hanoi to Saigon. This was my favorite restaurant of the entire trip. Basic decor, but good service with a smile and great food.

I don't usually write negative reviews on TA but this was a pretty poor experience! The shrimp was old and taste like the leather they sell next door. Service was poor. Considering all of the great TA reviews, they must have had a bad day. I recommend their sister restaurent Cargo instead.
For the way I like to eat which is quite cleanly and healthy (not all the time mind you) this is tied for the #1 restaurant in Hoi An. First of all the food is excellent. I strongly recommend the green mango salad and the fresh spring rolls ( I don't eat pork but I have them just with shrimp.)...

During our 4 days stay at Hoi An, we had our lunch on our very first day at Nhu'Y Mermaid Restaurant and it was splendid. We tried several places after that and eventually decided to come back again on the last day for dinner and boy was it a great meal. The restaurant is not that large and it's located...

The price, however, was like for 6-8 spring rolls in other places in Hoi An....

I am a fan of Ms Vy: she creates great taste explosions. The Mermaid was her first restaurant –her dream come true- in the always busy neighbourhood of the central market of Hoi An. Best food. Cheapest price. Watch the chefs cook your dinner. And the alcohol is COLD.
The food is great. Thry the white rose, a local specialty. Low prices too.
You can order some of the same dishes here at a fraction of the cost compared with Morning Glory though the menu here is somewhat less elaborate than Morning Glory. Good for dining on a budget. We had the tamarind prawns which were delicious. Would certainly recommend the place !
