Good food at a reasonable price

Slightly outside of the main tourist track, this "parrilla" offers great food at a reasonable price. Well worth walking a few extra blocks to eat well without paying tourist prices. Good meat, great desserts.

This parrillada was recommended to us by the super helpful and friendly cashier at the maxikiosko next to our inn, and we were quite happy with it! Service: our waiter was (like the cashier) super helpful and friendly. He noticed right away that we'd come in with some medicine for our son who was feeling under the weather, so he... More

We were looking for a late lunch and El Porton Parrillada was recommended to us. It was a Sunday and crowded. A large tourist group occupied several tables and when they left we got seated and it was not as loud. But it was worth the wait. It has a varied menu which is quite good. Choose wisely so you... There is an incredible range to choose from here and my friend and I chose wisely. We had three courses and the quality was consistent, the service impeccable. The restaurant has open windows at the front as well as tables and chairs outside. The feel is like a Parisian or Italian bistro. The prices are incredibly reasonable. It's really worth... More

This place is simply awesome, the price is very reasonable for the great tasting Parilla, everything is so delicious, and the service is fantastic. Very good portions and great selection of wine, our favorite wine is Castel Pujol, a very good rosado. Our waiters were very friendly and helpful, if you ever get to go to Colonia del Sacramento, you... More

My wife and me went to this restaurant in mid October of 2015 and I can tell you that the average of the food have a good taste and is very cheap the more expensive dish is about 25 usd, the juice that you can get here is average but it's ok the average for that is around 4 usd.

This local restaurant is a great place just outside of the touristy historic town of Colonia. the prices are more reasonable, the portions are generous and service is excellent. They have smoking and non-smoking tables outside and a large interior. The parilla meats are delicious but there is also a large selection of pastas, sandwiches, hamburgers and snacks. Well worth... The restaurant has a nice feel. There are many locals and tourists alike. The service is quite fast, the food plenty. I thought prices were reasonable if not dirt cheap.

This place is a nice discovery in Colonia. It is not full of tourists so it preserves its "family and original" atmosphere. The meat was great, i even werre able to have it medium cooked as i liked it, which was rare because they like it well done. Service was very kind, as they seem to be a family running... More
