Description: Lentas Maravillas isn't exactly a restaurant, it's a coffee shop/tea-room...
Lentas Maravillas isn't exactly a restaurant, it's a coffee shop/tea-room that also serves lunch and occasional private dinners. We are a small venue that sits up to 14 people in our living room and up to 16 people in the garden. We like being small because we can provide better service to our clients. We specialise in gourmet sandwiches and salads in Summer. In winter, in addition to our sandwiches, we make a spicy goulash and a chicken curry...There's also a hot, fiery soup to welcome our clients as they wait for their food to arrive...Desserts are home-made and some of the cakes are a revised version of my mother's Austro-Hungarian recipes.

Great ambiance

After going to a place close by that served us fake "rosado" wine (red and white wine mixed together in the back kitchen), this place was a fresh of breadth air. Right along the water, Lentas Maravillas was relaxing with its lawn chairs, good wine, and wonderful service!

A place to taste a wonderful coffee in a beautiful garden. And a great view. Beside this, the place is lovely, full of books and paints.

So glad we found Lentas Maravillas. A cozy room, overlooking the water, with eclectic furniture and a sweet cat. We came at an odd hour, but they went out of their way to find food for us. They didn't have everything, but what they had was delicious. A delightful respite!

Went here at 430pm for coffee based on the recommendation of lonely planet guide with 8 of my friends! There were 5 seats available in the main area and 2 near the front door which meant we couldn't sit together, which was no problem to us! When we asked to be seated we were very rudely told that they had... More

This is a small place, with view and garden. Two adorable cats. The menu is excellent, good coffee, wines, and sandwiches. Desserts are especially good. We live here, and go there at least once a week. Hostess speaks English, and is very accommodating.

We went based on Trip Advisor reviews and I was skeptical when the waitress had to remove a cat so we could sit down. However, it was a great lunch. The view is nice and the ambiance of being in a home is quite unique. The food was fabulous and we appreciated the attentiveness to our food allergies. My kids... More

The rating of this very nice tea shop is so because of the wonderful location + the very good attention of both the owner and staff + the goods that can be eaten and drank. It is highly reccommended.

The upstairs is owner Maggie's living room and library. The downstairs is owner Maggie's garden. Both environments are hospitable, peaceful, and pleasing. The food is special: everything made there; one thing at a time prepared by Maggie herself; sophisticated cuisine and lovely tastes which vary from one thing to another. Allow some time because each dish is individually prepared.

During a business trip Buenos Aires in December 2014 we had an extra day and the concierge at the hotel suggested a one day trip to Colonia, Uruguay and we went. A beautiful, delightful colonial city, visited the Portuguese Museum and the Tile Museum (this I enjoyed a lot) and then we set for lunch. Walking the streets you find... More
