Very nice tea shop

The rating of this very nice tea shop is so because of the wonderful location + the very good attention of both the owner and staff + the goods that can be eaten and drank. It is highly reccommended.

The upstairs is owner Maggie's living room and library. The downstairs is owner Maggie's garden. Both environments are hospitable, peaceful, and pleasing. The food is special: everything made there; one thing at a time prepared by Maggie herself; sophisticated cuisine and lovely tastes which vary from one thing to another. Allow some time because each dish is individually prepared.

During a business trip Buenos Aires in December 2014 we had an extra day and the concierge at the hotel suggested a one day trip to Colonia, Uruguay and we went. A beautiful, delightful colonial city, visited the Portuguese Museum and the Tile Museum (this I enjoyed a lot) and then we set for lunch. Walking the streets you find... More

Tea overlooking the river. A carrot cake and a passionfruit dessert that are mouthwatering. Impeccable service and all the time in the world to browse art books, or the art collection in display or just lounge. Only a few tables so that you can really talk at leisure. A must!! Credit cards not accepted. Who cares?

Me and my friend visited this peaceful and relaxed restaurant. The place is beautiful, warm and the staff are very nice. We sat outside, the weather was perfect and the view was even better. Not a lot of people and we liked it very much. The sound of silence!!! We ate a chicken-curry salad and tuna salad. They both were... More

Really enjoyed the passion fruit dessert with the nutella shake and the relaxing atmosphere is simply priceless, very kind server as well and they have cats running around which we enjoyed watching.

I visited Lentas Maravillas today and I am writing a review right away. Then you can guess what it means? :) MUST VISIT! Such an adorable and cozy place. You can take an outdoor seat or indoor seat which has a nice view of rio de la plata! Both options are recommendable. They have warmhearted service and awesome meals! I... More

We were saved from a rainy afternoon at this little coffee and cake joint. The owners are attentive and kind. Although opening hours starts at 2, they were in a bit earlier and let a group of slightly drenched visitors in early. We had coffee and a generous slice of a carrot cake which came with condensed milk. We stayed... More

This quirky restaurant was the most memorable part of our day visit to Colonia. Had a quiet and relaxing lunch in the lovely back yard overlooking the river, surrounded by trees and blossoms. The food was tasty and the atmosphere very informal - it almost felt like visiting a friend's house, including the delightful house cats.

I enjoyed so much having coffee and desert here that next day I came back for more. It is mostly a coffee/tea house bsolutely delicious home made desserts, great service and beautiful environment with a garden facing the river.
