I have read the TA reviews and I went there with big expectations. I'm happy I wasn't disappointed! The place really deserves all the compliments: the staff is nice and kind, the patio is cute and the food is superb. Actually I was surprised to see how little the restaurant is. Only few tables inside and a little number more... More

So love this spot by the river. Superb food and great service. The cakes are just fantastic and the staff are really wonderful. Would come back to Colonia just for the 'slow miracles' produced in the kitchen. Just a reminder that it doesn't open till 14:00h.

This is a gorgeous cafe with a lovely garden and warm friendly interior. The staff were very friendly and you feel like you are relaxing in their home. The big downside though are the prices. I was quite shocked when I compared afterwards what we had paid for sandwiches and wine. It was more than the dinner we had that... More

An excellent place to chill out and have something to eat and drink after walking all day in Colonia. The staff is very polite and the food is awesome. The best thing is the view, and the nice patio where you can chill out while enjoying the river

Nice place to get an expresso. I found it when I was walking around in the afternoon. Located close to the yacht club. Once in front you are attracted to come in. Very good service.

This is a lovely little place to have tea or coffee. My husband and I enjoyed both while perusing the books they had and enjoying the view. They also gave us yummy little biscuits to enjoy with our drinks. There is a pretty outdoor garden behind the shop, but we did not use it due to poor weather that day.

This place is definately a must if you want excellent home made snack food and drink at a reasonable price. The owner is friendly and welcoming and speaks good English. I had the best lemonade and carrot cake I've had in a long time. We sat in the garden and gathered our thoughts after a long day, although sitting inside... More

This lovely spot has a garden and a lovely bar inside. Prices are fair and the food is delicious. We sat in the calm garden and later in the swanky, jazz-inspired sitting room by the fireplace. The owner works the kitchen and the sandwiches - i had salmon- were so fresh and tasty. Clean bathroom, good orange juice. Open 2... More

Briefly. The food is good - we had a crudo ham and blue cheese sandwich, and a (canned) tuna sandwich... both tasted good and came with some small nibbles (cheese, cherry tomatoes, peanuts). The service is slow...but consistent with the rest of South America, and friendly. Good English spoken here. The decor is nice (early 20th century), good backyard overlooking... More
