Fair enough

Excellent empanadas, fresh lemonade and delicious "mate" (tea). Tourists need to understand the places prior to entering. Il Piu is not a five star cafe! Fists, it is simple but charming. We had a pizza and lemonade at this place! Both very lovely! The owner is really nice and service-minded. Very nice setting and the car parked right outside is beautiful!

Looks like a nice and quirky small cafe, but it is a full blown tourist trap - exorbitant prices, and poor quality and service to boot. Two coffees and a small dry bun with ham and cheese USD20+! Menu prices are high - Uruguay$120 for a double coffee, but if you pay with any other currency - watch out for... More

We stopped here for a quick ice cream. It is unbelievably overpriced, not particularly good and service is icier than the ice cream itself. It really looks like someone had a house and decided to rip off some tourists. Note: I did not have a meal here so this is not a comment about it.

While shopping mid day near the Plaza Mayor, we found this quaint little restaurant on a cobble stone street and decided to stop in for a beer and a quick snack (chivito sandwiches). Three hours later... More

At a first glance, Il Piú looks like a charming coffee shop with tables on the street. But do not be fooled as we three were. We ordered three coffee with milk and three "dulce de leche" waffles. All were cold and do not taste good. They also advise the limoncello, wich tastes like detergent (they served us a small... More

Very pretty surrounding but we paid for a for 1 frozen pizza, 2 salads and 4 glasses of house wine £45 pounds ($64 USD).....by far more expensive than the Ritz in London!
