We were here early, around 10AM. Hopped on the early ferry from Buenos Aires and decided to stop here for breakfast/lunch. I was surprised at how expensive their menu was, 290 pesos for a desayuno americano, 140 pesos for a beer. We ended up ordering a spanish tortilla and a beer. After looking over the menu and price list we... More

Food : awfully bad, expensive, poor. Service: OK at best. This is the worst place I've been in my life . They charge top money for the worst food you can imagine.

my father and I ordered a fish dish which was a fillet and they served them with the scales. Upsidedown may I say (could not see scales) so took a bite and spend 5min spitting everything out. Not nice. The fish was bland, served with a bland salad. the menu had no real descriptions. It would say with rice, and... More

After looking in the menu I ordered a beer. According to the menu I would receive 33cc for 80 pesos. Instead I received a wine glass with beer, not a big wineglass, but a normal one that cannot contain more than about 11cc. When I complained, the waiter told me that they were out of beerglasses (although there were only... More

this place is a tourist ripoff , the service is super slow and the prices too high, we ate a couple of simple dishes and payed over 40 us, the view could be nice but busses seem to park in front blocking the whole sight of the sea. As nearly all of the restaurants in Colonia it has no air... More

The location is nice and the cold beers were great. The service was good, but the food was just fine. We ordered a parrilla and also a steak - the parrilla was below average and the steak was just ok which is unusual in Uruguay. Overall it was average, so certainly would look for other options.

We found this just walking around near sunset, the sunset was mind blowing good. Beer was cold, good service, lots of happy people. Did not have any food so can't comment, its next to a walkway on the waterfront. Nice atmosphere. Think lots of locals enjoy this place Enjoy !

This is a very inviting place, you can see the red sun umbrellas at the edge of the peninsula from far away as you walk along Paseo de San Gabriel. Unfortunately, the experience does not live up to the promise of the location. Food is below standard (for me the worst in South America), but the location makes it worth... More

The service was very friendly and far more attentive than anywhere else we went. The location is very attractive near the water with a lot of tables. Both steaks we ordered, while cooked correctly were of a lower meat quality than other places (excessively chewy and fatty)

The headline sums it up. Plus the waiting time was 40 minutes for grilled vegetables and a simple pasta. "Because the vegetables need to be grilled on point". Yeah... If you do not want to lose your appetite, don't go to the toilet before eating. You'll pass the kitchen which looks super dirty plus the toilets are disgusting. But this... More
