Although on Uruguay it's pretty regular to have plain pizza (just dough and tomato sauce) and faina, when we asked for that (because for starts, we're vegan) the guy just looked down on us like we were poor or something. He just threw the plates on our table and were always rude. We never went back and even if there's... More

Upon visiting Colonia for a night stop over to BA, we ordered the Hamburgers with the LOT. After waiting 45mins for our order to come out we received a cold bun with lukewarm meat in the middle with no LOT, along with some very soggy chips that were starting to resemble the temperature of the bun. The waitress seemed disinterested... More

Nothing special about this place, good prices, but we only stopped by for some tea and toast sandwiches, and were ok. Slow service. They have an extensive menu with very affordable prices.

I remember this place like a bad bite … In July 2009, I traveled from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Colonia, Uruguay through Colonia Express and as part of the package I went to La Pasiva. I was looking forward to a meal after a long day enjoying Colonia, Uruguay. There was a limited menu for the package deal. The service... More

On the day we visited Colonia, all the recommended restaurants that we were going to try were closed at lunch time, so we ended up at La Pasiva. My wife had a pizza and I had the chicken and chips. The food was OK, not great, but passable. The service was very good. Our young waiter spoke English and was... More

The meal was included in the tour we took but I would recommend to try instead any of the cute sidewalk cafes in the old part of town. The food was mediocre and the service was even worse. We had to wait a long time to get limited menu, order and then to give the waitress our coupons.

Characterless, with poor service. One to be avoided. Overpriced very average food. If you're after a budget meal, try any street food cart before La Pasiva, if you're after pizza go to "La Bodeguita", if you want a nice dinner or lunch go to "Los Dos Reales" close to the Bull Fighting ring... La Pasiva never delivers, regardless of what... More

The Pasiva is always a good fall back position when there is no where else to go. Like MacDonalds, they are everywhere and they are predictable. In Colonia the service is always good and the menu provides plenty of choice, as long as you are happy with uruguayan faire. Prices are reasonable and they are always open.

La Pasiva is a very traditional Uruguayan chain. You'll love this place if you go with the right mindset: this is a great option for fast food like "chivitos" (Uruguayan style sandwiches) and pizzas, and beer. This is not the place for "real" meals.

We also went to La Pasiva on the first week of September/2011 during a Colonia Express day trip to Colonia Del Sacramento,as part of the package .The service was just horrible ,we waited forever for our meals(from a small list of choices) and they arrived more than 10 minutes apart. The worst pasta and sandwiches ever! We never got the desserts... More
