Great for breakfast

I like a sit down breakfast, and this is my favorite spot. Always friendly and welcoming. Mix of American and Mexican dishes, and great service.

We live in East Hampton and had been wanting to go to this restaurant for some time to support the local business. But I must say it was quite a disappointment. The good part is that it is a pleasant environment, at least on this afternoon when there was only one other table with customers. The Mexican food was very... More

I am so surprised by the relatively low reviews of D'Canela's in Amagansett. We were hesitant to try it, based on more recent Trip Advisor reviews, but as they end the night with Latin Dancing, which we love, we thought to give it a try anyway. We were not disappointed in the least. The service was attentive and professional, with... More

As a party of three, we stopped in on a Saturday for a late lunch. Because of the time of day the restaurant was pretty empty and our service was prompt and friendly. We ordered the following; Avocado Salad w/Grilled Chicken ($12), Warm Spinach Salad ($12), Chicken Quesadilla ($15) and a side of rice ($5). I had the Avocado Salad... More

I went there and ordered a shrimp quesidilla and it came with some chicken in it and as I do not eat this type of meat (only seafood) I informed them of the chicken inclusion. the waitress took it away and then stayed away from me the rest of the time I was there. NO offer of another dish, no... More

Three breakfasts in a row -- very pleasant accommodating service (substitutions no problem), good coffee, and friendly low-key atmosphere. Happy to put a Man City-Arsenal match on for us. Bacon cooked the way I want it -- which often doesn't happen no matter what I say -- and the omelettes are all substantial and flavorful and cooked so no raw... More

2nd year in a row we attempted breakfast here. Amagansett doesn't have anyplace to grab a nice breakfast. Last year we had breakfast with a short staff, a half hour wait to place an order etc. This year we tried again, disaster! We arrived and found all the open tables uncleared and stood at the door for 10 minutes to... More

It is friendly, competent, reasonable for East End standards and the food is good. I didn't say great but good. We have never been unhappy with our dinners there We try various dishes and find them good . We do question why they put cheese on a fajitas. The Pasole soup is good as is the Tortle Ell. Wee keep... I am going to go ahead and say excellent because they deserve an excellent for effort and authentic taste. No, the ambiance is not excellent--but you're going there to eat, right? Their Bloody Mary was definitely not excellent (though it may be after today as I offered them suggestions and my secret recipe to help them step it up--that may... More

They serve breakfast all day what can be better than that? This is a cute little Latin restaurant. The menu has a lot to offer. We loved the HUEVOS RANCHEROS it was the best I have ever had. They have everything - burritos, fajitas, enchiladas, gorditas and burgers, fish etc. etc. Check it out!!
