The garson explained about the restaurant and its different old style food very well. They served our foods in the pot. They were very hospitable.

No spice (at all) food !!! Eat like a thousand years ago as Mevlana Dervishes ... totally different meal (delicate but tasteless as we are not used to it). Try the honey with vinegar drink , weird but I liked...

We were travelling with my wife in Konya and went to this restaurant at lunch time after the recomendation of our hotel's manager. Very interesting cuisine with different tastes that might not suit to evreyone. But if you like to discover new tastes it's the place to go! They serve a traditional "mevlevi" food. Service is very good and our... More

Konya is not an easy place in which to find decent restaurants (and expecting alcohol is unrealistic). Like others, we found no one else in this restaurant when we arrived but we needed to eat somewhere so we stayed. Pleased we did. There was a reasonable selection of Turkish dishes well explained by a most helpful waiter and competently prepared.... More

The hotel staff recommended this restaurant to us. we stayed at the back of Mevlana Museum, this restaurant is about 5 minutes walking from the hotel, not on the big street. we arrived about 7:00 PM, no one inside, I hesitated to enter it, but I was a little sick that day, still go into it, surprisingly, the food is... We had a terrible meal here, the worst we have had in Turkey. There was barely anyone in the restaurant at 7.30, the roasted pepper and walnut soup was fine, salad was limp and looked like half the ingredients came out of can, the meatballs and meat with apricot were awful. Apparently there is no alcohol served in restaurants in... More

Great local cooking with home style. Super tasty pilav and beef (Tava Kebabi). Staff are very hospitable.

The pepper and walnut soup was excellent. Mixed vegetarian platter was an elegant and delicious main meal for two. The honey and vinegar sherbet that was given as an aperitif was surprising and absolutely delightful. The almond halwa is a real delicacy! We never thought that we could find such flavoursome vegetarian option in Konya.

We only found this by asking some locals for directions, one of them (with daughter) then kindly walked us to the door about 5 minutes away through dark quiet streets. The building was old and inside quite picturesque but had many modern buildings around. We were greeted as friends and taken to a table in a whitewashed courtyard (unfortunately only... More

The meal started with a vinegar & honey drink which was Nicer than expected. With regards to the food: If you are a meat eater you will probably love it. They serve many unusual combinations of meats and dry fruits. My husband had the chicken with pine nuts and apricots and liked it, although he found the serve to be... More
