We went there with a group of five people. Very nice atmosphere and decoration as an old authentic building. Most of the restaurants close very early but thanks to them they waited us until we eat to close the restaurant and go home, we were the only ones in the restaurant eating as it was after 10 pm. Their menu... More

one word for it: meeehhhh :) you have to park a bit far away and walk the rest, keep on walking though you didn't pass it yet. some of the personnel was very nice and helpful but the others grumpy and dismissing. service was slow or we were very hungry. don't believe half of the things they tell you about... The best restaurant to visit when you visit Konya, especially if you want to taste traditional Mesnevi cuisine which dates back to time of Mevlana. When you go, you get a tour of the restaurant which has a wonderful ambiance and reflects the preachings of Mevlana. Great food and hospitality which takes you back in history.

We tried Somatci because of the review in Anadolu Jet magazine during our flight. Our expectation was to try local tastes in a good atmosphere.. The menu was not the best I have tried in my Konya visit. The soup was served close to cold, but the personel was informative and friendly. he worst part of our experience was having... More

On recommande! Warmful hosting, traditional meals, very tasty!(taste the artichoke, the house soup...) a front house... More

We happened on this restaurant while looking for another and liked the look of it, so went in and had a wonderful meal. Roasted red pepper soup with walnuts, chicken with nuts and figs stuffed with walnuts and cream. There is no alcohol served in Konya, but they offered us many other options. Great warm service and lots of locals... More

After a few days in Turkey and only having the usual döner/börek meals I eventually decided to try something different, so I headed for this place. The food reminded me more of the typical North African (mainly Moroccan) style food where meat and fruit get mixed. Apparently it dates back to the time of Mevlana and its Afghan / Persian... More

We enjoyed our meal at Somatci. The service was very good and the meal delicious. Being in conservative Konya, no alcohol is available, which was fine. Only down side is the restaurant is in a courtyard with a canvas roof that got quite cold in the evening. The staff recognised this and provided my wife and I with a blanket!

We have been travelling in turkey for three weeks and have eaten in lots of different places and kinds of establishments from a street kebab shop to Top Deck in Cappadocia. After reading the reviews on trip advisor i was keen to try Somatci but was sorely disappointed with the food. What restaurant runs out of basic salad? Not to... More
