Attracted by the crowd in the restaurant we went to this restaurant with our two kids for dinner. We had lentil soup, some starters (eggplant salad, artichoke in olive oil etc), chicken kebab (tavuk çöp şiş), lamb kebab, tomato walnut salad etc. The food was ok, not special but the chicken tasted very strange and was not well done. Therefore... More

Topcu is one of my favourite eating places.the food is always delicious and fresh. It is always busy with mainly Turkish guests.the only thing I find is that the menue is hard to read if you don't read turkish, but the waiter is happy to explain the dishes. You must try the Chicken dish that means "chicken sitting down" It is fabulous

As a traveler, one of the most difficult decisions I have to make is where to dine. During a recent visit to Izmir, at the end of a very long day I decided to go to Topcu in Akdeniz. It was a good decision. I highly recommend the Çiğ köfte (Chee kufta), means ‘raw meatball’ as an appetizer, along with... More

The menu was only in Turkish and when asked for help, this was grudgingly given and not of any value. We ate our mezzes and left and went elsewhere where we were not treated so much as a commodity but more as a customer. Would not return in a million years.

a vegetarian's hell - most of the dishes are based on meat - is still the best choice in the city center for a quick bite after concert or cinema, or for a relaxed chat outside. Mezes and kofte are excellent, good sized serving, service quick and corteous, and there's a lot of space outside. Maybe not nouvelle cuisine, but... More

The restaurant is bustling; so you can be sure the food is fresh. There are many TVs to watch football. The lentil soup is spicy and delicious. The mezze platter was average, with the yoghurts being the best items. We got the mix kebab platter and it was disappointing: 4 kebabs on sticks each with 3 pieces probably totalling 20... More

Extremely popular restaurant a block from the sea front with a friendly atmosphere and walls decorated with pictures of Turkish celebrities that have eaten there. Their speciality is mini-kebabs but these come with a big range of different salads and other accompaniments. Staff speak some English but bring a tray of the different choices so you can point at want... More

You go here to eat the cop shish (mini kebabs on little sticks), it is famous for it. You may want to try other stuff but it is really the cop shish kebabs that they are known for.

They have pleasant outdoor seating, and the food was fine. It just added up to an average dining experience that seemed surprising based on the strong reviews. I think for a point and select type restaurant that are so popular in Turkey, this must be one of the better ones. But compared to standard sit-down fine dining (which has comparable... More

Indeed a nice kebap house with good snacks given as a compliment. Their special is cop sis. I also suggest to order a Gavurdag salad with it.
