The food in general was indeed fresh and good, but we have had better in the past, making us regret that we didn't go to a more traditional restaurant. Before getting a table we got to choose the fish and seafood we wanted. We got a small and very tasty lobster, some quite good shrimps and mullets and a slice... More

This is the best fish I've had - a big call. The service was a bit diffident at times but who cares when the product is this good. A wonderful salad came with tender local calamari, the came little red mullet followed by brim. All fantastic. Good wine service and the meal finished with a baked pudding, with a butterscotch... I was a guest of our parent company who said it was one of the best seafood restaurants on Izmir seafront. Have to say I wasn't disappointed. The Red Snapper was delightful, as was the calamari and baby octopus. Great atmosphere although the marquee was colder than I would have liked.

Lovely fish restaurant which also served the non fish eating clientele as well. Very busy restaurant, only downside was the amount of people smoking indoors due to the bad weather.

I visited this place due to its high TA rating, my partner and I were looking forward to a nice dinner however, as soon as we arrived we were ushered off to a seafood fridge to 'inspect' the freshness of their products by a waitress. It soon turned out, dinner had been selected for us, until we asked continuously for... More

I love Yengec Restaurant, it is simply fantastic. I consider it one of the best food and specially fish experiences you can have in Izmir at a very reasonable price given the quality of the goods served. I have been here many times and I will, of course, keep coming..
