We waited a long time in a nice but freezing courtyard. When we asked for blankets we were told there weren't any more while they kept bringing them to newcomers, probably usual guests. We were able to get some blankets only after quarreling with the commis. At the end many of us didn't get what they had ordered because, they... More

It was the first restaurant we went when we arrived in Gaziantep. The surrounding is very nice. The food is also very delicious and served well. The inside of the restaurant is very traditional and nice. We really enjoyed our time and suggest it.

We liked this place a lot. Eating out in the large courtyard with fountains playing was a rather more upmarket experience than some of the smaller places. The food and service were good and when it got a little cooler in the evening they provided cosy warm wraps - a lovely touch. Tucked away in a back street but worth... More

Took us a while to find this restaurant and we did not eat in the old building in the photos, but rather a large more modern building perpendicular to the older part. The food was not cheap, but not expensive either and worth every penny. This is not fast food and the ambience was of a more formal restaurant. We... More

Being an Istanbuller and a foodie, and having experienced food quality of Sahan in Istanbul several times (it's at least average and organized!), when I heard the owners of Sahan Rest. opened up a new hotel under the roof of an ancient caravansary and started to operate Sahan Rest. within, I said "It might be interesting to spend the night... Different from other nice restaurants in Gaziantep like Imam Cagdas and Culcuoglu, this restaurant is mainly for dinner with alcohol and a reasonable price. You can go with the family as well as guests and business. Gaziantep Sahan is a part of a chain serving Gaziantep cousin with minor adaptations. Therefore if you are looking for more local tastes go... More

We went to this place in Ramadan for iftar. They have a standard menu for iftar with salads, soup, kebap, dessert and so on. Everything was perfect.

We enjoyed the ambience of this place. It is beautiful and quiet. But for us it seemed a bit too stilted. Gaziantep (and all of Eastern Anatolia for that matter) is an earthy place and this restaurant was trying too hard to be chic-chic. The food was good enough, but the real advantage of this place is that they serve... More

I much, much prefer Sahan to Bayazhan, that has gone down the hill these last 1.5 years. Sahan's food tastes much better for one, and for two, if it's about ambiance, the renovated old Han can't be beat. I returned to the restaurant in May after having been there on and off the last 2 years. Still reliable, still very... More

It was especially good for the building it was operating in, called Şirehan. The restaurant was big but the saloon was wider. Because of these you can have a more relax and long dinner time. We were not so hungry, so just ate some snack, lahmacun and shared a kebap, all were good but especially snacks were wonderful.
