We hired a scooter for 75 lira for the day from goreme and drove around the traditional Red Tour route ourselves. On stopping at Urgup we found Sofra which has to be the best Turkish meal we've had so far. Coupled with the fantastic service this restaurant is a must do if you are in the area. Owner speaks great... More

This is where I was first introduced to sach tava - a taste never experienced before! When thinking of Turkey, people think kebab but their more regional and local dishes are much more flavorful and interesting. I also had pottery stew and it was great too. The owner even helped us to take photos while breaking the pottery jar. :)... More

Our first meal in Capadoccia. This was definitely a good entry level experience for first timers to this beautiful part of the country. Kudos to Volkan, as he made ordering less painful. They have a picture menu which also helps. The food was very, very tasty.. You don't tend to order more than what you can actually finish. The servings... More

Was sent here by the hotel staff. What a great recommendation. The variety of the menu allowed everyone in our group to find something they wanted. Everyone enjoyed their meal.....so much so, that we ate here again the next day. This was the only place we ate more than one meal our entire 19 days in Asia/Europe. Owners Volkan and... More

This was a recommendation from our hotel front desk clerk, and did not disappoint! My mom and I ate there all 3 nights in Ürgüp. The owner of the restaurant is also the waiter and server. He has a booklet of pictures of what is on the menu. He gave us some good info on Turkish culture and food. Unfortunately,... More

Volkan Zengín and Mustafa Çaliskan will ensure your dietary needs are met when you visit this small traditional Turkish restaurant in the heart of Ürgüp. They will present you with a menu in addition to a binder of photographs of each delicious dish and are extremely accommodating with substitutions and additions. I visited them for dinner 2 evenings in a... More

We were a bit hesitant to go to the restaurant as it was empty. The owner though took the time to explain every dish on the menu. He even had pictures. You know how the pictures always look better than the food? Not this time, the food looked and tasted wonderful! Great portions and served with Mezzas. I had a... More

a family run small restaurant, with great service and excellent food! We ordered the lentil soup for starters followed by a mixed grill and turkish special with meat. All the dishes had an array of barbeque and traditional flavours, the food was fresh and hot!
