Good Restaurant in the center of Urgup

We ate here the first night we were in Urgup, mostly because there was a Turkey-wide power failure, and it was one of very few restaurants with lights. We were pleasantly surprised. The menu was fairly standard fare for the region, but the food was quite good and the service was excellent.

Ambiance is nice but there is nothing special about the food average quality and taste. Terrace view is nice, interiors are a bit confined. Service is average.

You could say the whole area is for tourists but this restaurant really feels that way. It's got a lovely patio and view. It was too cold when we went to sit outside but could see it being wonderful when warmer. It's a white tablecloth kind of place so perfect for that if you're in the mood. I'd recommend trying... My wife and I are currently living in Istanbul and drove to Cappadocia for a few days for vacation. We did the touring around all of the towns in the area to include Goreme, Uchizar, Avanos, and Urgup. The first evening that we were there, we ate dinner at Dimrit. The view from the balcony was fantastic. The service was... More

We had another tiring day of touring around the area starting early with a hot air balloon ride. We found this restaurant by wandering up the street and venturing up a stairwell that seemed to be deserted, except we had seen lights on upstairs from outside. We had entered from a side entrance, we discovered. This restaurant had seating for... More

When are restaurants going to realise that poor quality food and service are not merely unacceptable but also have consequences? Four of us ate here thus evening. No other patrons were present to tax the staff but they served up a wrong starter, the fish was overcooked and had no vegetable accompaniment apart from garnish, the french fries that adorned... We had lunch on their terrace in the sun on 24th of December. Good food, friendly staff, good service and fair prices. Reason for us to come back the same evening for dinner. Sat next to the fire place and enjoyed good Turkish food again for a good price. Highly recommended!

Love the food and service! Yakun (Jacob) was very attentive and helpful. He noticed my hubby, who collects labels from wine bottles, was trying to peel off the label of the local wine and decided to help us by soaking the bottle in hot water. Old school service charms that is truly appreciated. Finds the price reasonable.
