I order Turkish traditional Manti, it was waste and to much salted. They put something like ketchup/tomato sausage over the yogurt which has nothing with Manti to do. When I send it back i ordered Köfte.. That was the worst. I didn't eat anything of it and had to pay for bought. Then I understand why the restaurant was so... More

It was the best cousine surprise we had in turkey. Although the place looks very cheap, the food is real traditional cooked and served and really really delicious. Just don't let the apperrance fool you and give it a try!

Say yes to this man at the entrance of this little local restaurant! I dont want to spoil but i bet you will really taste something different there. Anyway, taking your chance might cost you 15 lyras with drinks included so just do it !

It was late evening June 30, we just arrived in Urgup and were looking for a quick, simple meal. We walked past this tiny, plain restaurant several times before we allowed ourselves to be lured in by the friendly owner. I was intrigued by the display of clay stew pots (tandirs) sealed with bread that were on display at the... More

We nearly passed this place by - it looked a bit sketchy but the owner was so friendly and inviting we decided to go in. They handed us the "menu",a worn looking photo album with pictures of food and no prices. Again,we were doubtful that this was a good idea. We asked about the prices and were handed a grimy... More

This is a small hole in the wall , family run , home-style cooking restaurant. Our friend had checked it out previously and said that we must try it and not get deterred by its sheer simplicity. The Tandir Shorba in the clay pot and the Gozeleme is the tastiest I have had in Turkey.

My wife, brother and his wife went here when we couldn't find the restaurant we were looking for. The owner sold us on coming in for dinner. It was the right decision. Wonderful , inexpensive food with friendly, attentive, family service. If Guy Fieri was going to Urgup, this would be his first stop.

Great food, friendly service in a nice simple setting. I'm not normally one to venture to too many local restaurants unless they have been recommended but kardesler was a gem of a find. The shorba was great as was the bread served with it. We made it a point to go back and eat here twice during our stay. Even... More

Tasty loczl food, stews, soups and breads, for very cheap prices. This is the kind of mom and pop place I look for when I travel.

Really excellent beef tandir – especially as it was quite a chilly evening and it was served sizzlingly hot, almost looked alive!
