This boutique hotel/restaurant, run by Okan Yazgun and his mother working magic in the kitchen, specializes in home-cooked Turkish meals. We had our most authentic meal of the trip here. After reading awesome reviews of this restaurant on tripadvisor, we wanted to make sure that we have a meal at this restaurant. It is located in a small village of Ayvali and reservation is a must. We were welcomed by the owner Okan. His mother cooks the food which consists... More

We had dinner at Aravan Evi last night and found it to be one of the best and most authentic meals of our trip. We actually had the dining room to ourselves, seated next to a warm fireplace, so it was incredibly relaxing. However, the portions are made for kings and I found myself a little sick after consuming 9... More

Excellent boutique restaurant serving excellent traditional regional Turkish cuisine. Hard to find unless you have a guide or tour operator that knows the place. If your thr type of traveler that wants the real village experience then this is the place to go. Okan the owner also has attached three room botique hotel with 3 rooms. His mother does all... More

Aravan Evi is a great restaurant - we had the tandoor which was good. (They also have good wifi ;-) ) Mom cooks, son is the waiter and speaks very good English. It was a nice respite from a day of hiking the valleys! :-)

A meal at this restaurant is what makes holiday memories. Our guide organised a lunch reservation for us at this small and special restaurant. On arrival you meet the family - chef (mum), kitchen assistant (grandmother) and restaurant manager (son, Okan). The menu is set but there will be no complaints. Sarma as thin as your fingers, delicious pickles, salad,... More

We are a party of 8. Our guide recommended this restaurant and what a pleasure it was. When we arrived for lunch, Okan's mother showed us how they made grape molasses and then we sat in the stylish but small restaurant (make sure you book) and the food began. Starters, fresh bread, soup, grape leaves etc etc. The food was... More

My partner and I had lunch at Aravan Evi as part of our Cultural and Culinary Tour. We watched Mrs Yazgan cook the aside before we had our lunch. Seeing how easy it is to make, I'll be making it at home. We loved every dish we were served. Best stuffed vine leaves, soup (the flavours are just amazing, best... More

Advised by our Turkish guide that this restaurant is the best for non-commercial food - wonderful home cooking - and he was right in every respect.

It is worth the drive to this tiny village just to enjoy the tradition food prepared with love and skills past down thru the generations. Aravan Evi restaurant ambience is quite, peace and relaxation. We just went with the owner's recommendation of mezze, mains and desserts and enjoyed every bite. Do not miss the apricot dessert!
