This is a small gem which must not be missed. It is a family affair, Mother is chef and her food is traditional, but the taste and quality sets it apart from other restaurants. Her son is a solicitous and charming front of house who speaks excellent English. The setting is also lovely with views out over the countryside and... More

Having eaten some very good food during the past week in Turkey, lunch time today at Aravan evi certainly surpassed them all. The food was delicious - home cooked in the tandoor by the owner's wife. The service both friendly and efficient and the general atmosphere excellent. I would recommend that anyone journeying near here make a detour to try... More

What a surprise to find this restaurant in the same village as where we were staying. Wonderful food was served in a set menu. There is nothing better than true organic food harvested the same day and so authetically prepared. The service was friendly and welcoming. We went back the next night as well. Well worth a visit and we... More

A family-run restaurant as part of a small hotel. Book in advance (day before or in the morning for dinner) and they'll look after you. Traditional Turkish food made as only grandma knows how (and she really knows how). Ingredients were sourced largely from their own organic garden. A little out of the way in Ayvali village, stay locally, or... More

We stayed 4 days in Aravan Evi and opted for breakfast and dinner in their restaurant. We made the best decision as the food cooked by the owner's wife were simple yet delicious. We learnt that the produce were from their very own organic garden which we also visited in one of the days there....tomatoes, capsicums, aubergines, grapes, apples, cucumber... More

Hidden behind a stone wall there is the most exquisite restaurant where the food is gathered from organic garden ... Cooked in the traditional clay pots ... Accompanied by fantastic local wines .. Fabulous family run business with a few rooms you can also stay in. Could not recommend more highly ...

We watched dusk descend upon the beautiful and peaceful village as we ate a huge multi-course meal cooked just for us. The soup and first course were delicious; we especially liked the smoked eggplant and the sarma. We were already pretty full before the meat came for the main course, and were completely stuffed by dessert. We had tried many... More

While in Cappaddocia, our guide recommended this little restaurant. We had to take a little cab ride, but it was really worth it. It is a small restaurant/hotel, and we were taken care of by Okan, and his family runs the restaurant/hotel. He explains to you what they have that evening and they just bring it out to you. The...
