My husband and I just had a wonderful dinner at Turkuaz. We had a table on the second floor with a fantastic view of the city. More importantly, the food was wonderful. We especially liked the lental soup and the testi kababi (lamb in pottery). When the bill came, we were both surprised at how inexpensive our magnificent meal was.

I've had dinner in Turkuaz two times during my 3-days holiday in Goreme: I found a nice atmosphere, very good food and an amazing view by the terrace where I ate. The food is one of the best I've ever eaten in my journey in Turkey. It's the original one and fresh; good prices and the dishes are considerable (the... More

I like the owner; I just don't like the food. Like all Turkish, the restaurant owner was friendly. The food however, honestly was the worst we had in all of Turkey and Greece. Except for the chicken pottery, the other food was blend. The vegetables in all our dishes were mushy; as if it has been reheat too many times.... More

Very delicious food and good service. Staff was very helpful and provided high level service to us and prices were also OK. Highly recommended place for tourists.

Our first night in Göreme, we chose this cafe cos the waiter had a sad desperation about him. Most of the items on the menu were unavailable and when we did order the food took an unreasonable amount of time to come out (we'd ordered a salad - it was tiny!). Food was stodgy and bland. Vine leaves were out... More

Our first night in Göreme, we were left sorely disappointed by the meals. Very little in the way of flavour in the dishes, the vine leaves entree was clearly from a tin. The service was borderline rude and very inefficient.

The desperation on the face of the gentleman tout said it all: this restaurant is pathetic. The wait staff were confused, if friendly. Half the menu items were not available. The most basic dishes took a long time to come out, despite having very few customers. The salad was the smallest I've ever seen, and was as bland as a... More

Amazing Pottery Kebap. The pottery was broken and they were kind enough to make another one. Nice warm atmosphere right in center of goreme

Went to Turkuaz for our first lunch in Goreme. Had a nice meal and a great conversation with waiter Ramazan. Ended up watching soccer with him later that night and had a lot of fun!

The staff at this restaurant were very hospitable! I ended up sitting and chatting with the owner for some time following my meal, after which he also offered me a tea. It was an absolute pleasure, I must say. The restaurant also offers a lovely view of Goreme during the day and evening. Can be very romantic for couples! My... More
