Wonderful Turkish food. Home made.

After a 5 hour hike to and from the Goreme open air museum, we were looking for a good place to have lunch. We chanced upon this slightly lack lustre looking, obviously home run restaurant near the "Fountain". Our previous experience of snooty, pretentious and expensive joints where the food tastes... read more

The food is on less salty side, which I prefer, and has simple, good food. Unexpectedly from the name, they have great sach tava (meat dish on a large iron saucer) and pottery stew (cooked in a pottery jar that you break before you eat). These two dishes are a must in Cappadocia.

I had the chicken döner kebab and it really hit the spot. Was fresh and quick eat on the way to hiking around the valley. Service over lunch was a bit slow but food was worth the wait

Well, actually i live in Goreme, so i get opportunity to go to this small restaurant all the time! It isn't expensive place even for us (local people), maybe the cheapest restaurant of the Goreme (I eat a chicken kebap+ drink Ayran and pay only six Liras). In addition to this, they have very delicious Chicken Kebap, all of their... More

After 15 days in turkey, I ate here the worst durum. Cold and empty. There's no reason to visit cappadocia kebab centre.

This small, less touristy restaurant had the best value and tastiest food of our trip. It was on the main strip but didn't seem as though it drew as much of a crowd. We took a chance and are so glad we did! Try the pottery kebab- delicious- and the spicy kebab- yum! (After two nights of tasty kebabs we... More

I went in here because my travel guide described the place as the best thing since sliced bread. Unfortunately, I had the most mediocre kebab I had in my 21 day stay in Turkey. The bread was soggy, the meat was not very well cooked, etc. Overrated, bland food.

Well, we were wandering back from the Open Air Museum and saw this place. Fairly empty, but wanting a kebap, we thought this might be a good option. We ordered the chicken kebap durum and we enjoyed it. It was tasty and only 5TL. Our entire bill was 15TL for two kebaps and water and a Coke. Hungry for lunch.... More

The food is homemade and authentic. The prices are great for the portion amount received. The location/restaurant itself is not fancy- but quite enjoyable. Wifi is available.
