The resort is right in the middle of all the action. Beautiful little hotel, great views. Close to all sightseeing opportunities, the boat tours, the souvenir shops, fun restaurants.

This resort is right on the St Lawrence River in Alexandria Bay. Everything was right within walking distance of our room which was very convenient. The room was clean and there is a small porch outside to enjoy the view. The desk staff were courteous and helpful.

Wife took me on a romantic weekend getaway package to the Thousand Islands. Old hotel but clean and in a great location to Uncle Sam Boat Tours and Riley's on the river.

Probably the best place to stay in Alexandria Bay. The hotel is in walking distance to the town and ferry service to Boldt Castle. We had a nice balcony and had a view of the harbor and Boldt Castle.

We spent three nights at Captain Thomson's. We enjoyed the private balcony with a view of Boldt Castle as the docks of Bonne Castle and Riversedge. We were near the dock where the tour boats took people on tours of the Thousand Islands, Boldt and Singer Castle. Large ocean going boats also passed by. It was centrally located to everything... We have eaten here 3 times. We've always had good service but then we always try to go between lunch and dinner so now crowded. Food ranges from ok to good esp. for the prices. We like the river view (& the slight rocking motion).

A different experience. Located on a barge in the St. Lawrence River. Sit by the window and enjoy the passing ships and boats passing by. Food okay. Nice for lunch or dinner.

Stayed at Capt Thompson's on a package deal -one night, 2 meals and boat tours of US and Canada+Boldt Castle. Went off season ( best deal and best weather). Place is easy to find, room right on the water, heard waves all night as boats passed by, little porch overlooked the River, clean , pleasant room, not noisy as mostly older folks... More
