We have eaten here 3 times. We've always had good service but then we always try to go between lunch and dinner so now crowded. Food ranges from ok to good esp. for the prices. We like the river view (& the slight rocking motion).

you must like alot of people around and don't mind boat whistles (blasts) starting early in the morning. this place is located right on the docks of the uncle sam's boat tours sooooo....you hear all the people talking and the loud boat sounds if you are in your room or at the pool

A different experience. Located on a barge in the St. Lawrence River. Sit by the window and enjoy the passing ships and boats passing by. Food okay. Nice for lunch or dinner.

Stayed at Capt Thompson's on a package deal -one night, 2 meals and boat tours of US and Canada+Boldt Castle. Went off season ( best deal and best weather). Place is easy to find, room right on the water, heard waves all night as boats passed by, little porch overlooked the River, clean , pleasant room, not noisy as mostly older folks... More

Centrally located, we parked & walked all over the place. Nice rooms with a view, well appointed & clean, all non-smoking with reminders at the front desk & inside/outside all the rooms. Our toilet ran all night the 1st night, we reported it to the front desk but it wasn't corrected for our 2d night either. The 'best' view comes... More

We are from Buffalo, and like to sample how the local resturants compare for Buffalo Wings. This place is amazing, it's like we never left Buffalo. Recommend it highly.

Only the upper level - bar is open. The restaurant was closed (a disappointment). Bar serves a limited menu, but mostly drinking crowd. I loved the motel (see separate review), but the bar needs to be remodeled. Nice views, but not much else to recommend it. If you want to eat, better to go to Riley's by the River, which... More

The place is just a motel but the view is great, the balconeys are private and the location is very convenient to everything.
