Panani's were good, but we thought it was kind of expensive. Also not alot of seating, (we were visiting during a busy weekend) so my family ordered take out and we ate it at the park.

Since moving from Philly years ago, nothing has ever came even close to a cheese steak from Philly itself. Everything from the bread, to the steak to the cheese was spot on. Great taste of home without taking the 6 1/2 hour drive to get it!!

My boyfriend and I stopped here before our Uncle Sam Boat Tour for a quick lunch. The food was okay (my boyfriend stuck with the original cheese steak and I had a Panini). The workers were young guys who weren't friendly and who spoke in mumbles. The food was expensive for relatively fast food. The "restaurant" itself has four tables... More

Try this restaurant based on other TA reviews and limited choices in Alex Bay. Sandwich was Ok was not as good as a true Philadelphia cheese steak sandwich. The cost of just the sandwich was over $8.

I last reviewed Dan's 2 years ago, and figured I'd update my experiences as a regular summer customer. Overall, this place is still the best blue-collar lunch in the bay, if you want what's on the menu and don't care about ambience. The occasional complaints I've read here are not representative of a typical visit. Salads, paninis and cheesesteaks will... More

cheesesteak wit was really good...juicy, messy, well-seasoned beef with a great green pepper flavor. I ordered one for my wife without mushrooms and it was delivered with them. Also, line cook had his food prep gloves on while messing with his iPhone screen, then reached the same hand in the freezer bag of fries -- if you're going to slack... More

This is amongts the very best original cheesteak sandwiches one can get. As good as Jimmy's in Philadelphia. We tried both recently and our family concluded that they were both equally good!

Dan's offers an authentic, contemporary and personable experience worth checking out. All and all, this diner out-classes the other restaurants on the street.

We stopped here for an early dinner and had the Philly steak panini and the Betsey Ross salad. The panini had peppers, onions, and some kind of white cheese...it was just ok but kind of bland. The salad was edible but certainly not gourmet, just what you'd expect from a fast-food type place. Based on the others' reviews, I get... More
