Bagels are fresh and no skimping on cream cheese. Unfortunately, I ran from the cookies and candy. But it looked great. Maybe stop back later if I can still hear the candy calling.

If you want pastry/baked stuff with your breakfast, this is your place. If you just want a "diner style" breakfast, then cross the street and visit Chez Paris. Everywhere else I've had breakfast in the bay (including the expensive resort hotels) do not compare to the Bay Area Bakery and Chez. These folks are friendly, the bagels are rather nice... More

My breakfast sandwich was the best !! It was fresh and very good. We also had home fries that were excellent. I couldn't eat any more, but wanted to make sure I got some of the cookies, so bought two to go back to the room for dessert later. They were yummy as well. The only thing I can say... More

We needed a birthday cake while traveling through the area. We didn't decide until early that agfternoon that we would be stopping in Alex Bay. We called around 1 and the freshly baked cake with our message was ready by 5. We were able to choose from 3 types of cake, three kinds of filling and two kinds of buttercream.... More

My three girls were so excited to ride their bikes to the Bay Area Bakery for breakfast on a recent Sunday morning. The food was very good, fresh eggs and bacon, and super yummy muffins and bagels. Friendly service, cute atmosphere and a convenient location.

We had breakfast here and while modest, it was excellent. The blueberry bagel was to die for. The eggs were fresh as was the sausage. You may want to consider sweets to go as they have an extraordinary offering.
