I had good expectations for a great BBQ dinner. The smells from the kitchen were wonderful so I decided to pick this restaurant for dinner, in a tourist town full of choices. The menu was varied but specialized in seafood, fish and southern mustard based BBQ. The atmosphere at Coleman's was TV /sports channel but there was no game being... More

My husband and I go to A bay every summer have had poor service here before but decided to give it one more chance. Never again. It was a slow Friday night, we were immediately seated and ordered a burger and jambalaya. Our dinner came_1 hour and 15 minutes later, cold and with wrong sides. Waitress blamed kitchen for taking... More

I'm rating this restaurant as average due to having only eaten here once. We won't return and I just couldn't get excited about the food. The BBQ wasn't what we expected and neither of us cared for the sauce.

I am all about dining outside, especially by the water. The setting at Coleman's is about the best thing it has going for itself. The food was fine...brisket was good, beer was cold...it was the service that bothered me most. My hubby and I have been in and around and involved with customer service for as long as we can... We go camping in the Alexandria Bay area a couple of times a year and usually end up going to Coleman's a couple of times each trip. When the weather is nice it is agreat place to people and boat watch and when the weather turns gloomy a great place for shelter and good food. I have seen several negative... More

The platter my husband and I shared had more than plenty of food on it. The bar b que sauce was delicious, and we are from the south and make wonderful sauce ourselves. The help were so much fun, and their cocktails were yummy.

Visited on a recent Saturday. Had the steamed clams, they were very very small and paid for a dozen and got 9. When I told the waitress it was ignored. The rest of the food was average, ok. Waitress was friendly. Would I choose to eat here again, probably not.

We have eaten here frequently and have never had a bad meal. My husband loves the hamburgers, I enjoyed fried Haddock, Pulled Pork sandwich to name a few. Try to sit in the shaded area outside during the hot summer months. The view is great, watching the boats and people on the dock. The restaurant also has a small dock... More

This was a great place to end the day at Abay. We had a large group, 10 people, and were still accommodated very quickly without having a reservation. The dock was lovely, not too crowded, and the food was very good! Large portions, very decent pricing, not upscale, but relaxed. We'll definitely be going back.

Went to Coleman's for Father's Day and was looking forward to a nice B-B-Q. We were seated promptly, and the staff was friendly. It is a great setting right on the Municipal dock area where there is plenty of boat activity right on the water's edge. I ordered a 1/2 rack of ribs and my wife ordered brisket. They offered...
