One of the best Thai food restaurants in Thailand!

We visit Thailand very often and have dined at hundreds of places. This is by far one of the best. Great food complimented by great service.

We were highly recommended by the resort staff to go to the buffet in the evening as this was a celebration day for the country. We went there but almost left immediately as practically 80% of the tables were occupied by kids and families, screaming, running around the tables ... We have kids but we wanted to have a relaxed... We made a trip to Saffron (via boat from Angsana Hotel) for a more formal dining experience. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and made a fuss of our 2 year old daughter (good kids menu too). Our overall impression, however, was that the food slightly missed the mark. Particularly given the price point. We ordered the mixed appetisers... More

They have many yummy dishes including the som tam with soft shelled crab which can be made milder / hotter depending on your preference. I also asked for a curry that wasn't on the menu - I don't mean to be difficult but I'm allergic to lots of things - which they were happy to make. I really like the... More

This was our favourite restaurant at the Banyan Tree, serving excellent Thai food with aplomb. The red curry with duck, lychee and pineapple plus the crispy white snapper were highlights for us this time and the staff will vary "spiciness" according to taste. Ambience is very good, service attentive and we understand that Saffron is moving to a new larger... More

front desk staff highly recommended us to try the Saturday night buffet when we first arrived the hotel. The food variety is ok and not bad but the price is not worth it.

Delicious food, elegant room, helpful and pleasant wait staff, prompt service. Wine was overpriced as seems to be the norm throughout Thailand. Among six of us, we shared a variety of dishes. Everything was delicious, however, I must comment on the rice. Four types of rice were on offer - the organic brown rice was out of this world --... More

I would rate this a 3.5 points experience, not because you will have a bad time, quite the opposite. I just believe that a dining establishment that prices itself and has ambitions for the top end can do better. We made a booking reservation by phone and in that conversation we were reminded about the strictly formal dress code. I... More

We were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant at Banyan Tree. The food is out of this world and the service is great. From the moment you arrive you are treated like royalty... You must try the Chicken with cashew nuts... A whole new twist to the dish! The food was so good we returned on the last night of our... More

Not only did we enjoyed their table d'hote but we enjoyed the total package. Memorable view, service, food and wine. Special touch is the Jasmine infused hand cleaning ceremony. I must stop for Bangkok. We thanked our local Bangkok regular for recommending this place.
