Not only did we enjoyed their table d'hote but we enjoyed the total package. Memorable view, service, food and wine. Special touch is the Jasmine infused hand cleaning ceremony. I must stop for Bangkok. We thanked our local Bangkok regular for recommending this place.

Saffron is always on our list of restaurants to visit when staying at Banyan Tree Phuket. The dining room is air-conditioned which is always welcome in the heat and humidity of Thailand and decorated in a relaxing contemporary style, well lit and with the unique fractured glass tables not too close to a neighbour. As well as the usual à... More

Saffron is the Banyan Tree’s thai restaurant and is well worth a visit. Food is good quality and service, as with everything else at the Banyan Tree is excellent. The decor is also really nice and provides a good setting for a nice evening meal.

Nice place to go if you want to stay for dinner at Banyan Tree. Love the trolley full of different hot and fluffy rice. Above average food and wine.

I was completely blown away by the outstanding service, decor and food at this truly excellent restaurant! My wife and I are fortunate enough to experience many great restaurants. We are spoilt for choice living in London. Naturally our expectations are always stretched when you frequent many different establishments. Saffron exceeded all expectations and made us realise that the Michelin... More

We arrived at Banyan Tree this afternoon and faffed about relaxing so thought it aould be easiest to go somewhere very close to us . Saffron had had the highest rating for restaurants in the Banyan tree so we decided to give it a shot. We were pleasantly surprised - the food was excellently cooked and beautifully presented. The service... More

Really nice decor, terrific friendly service: this is a very good restaurant in an upmarket holiday hotel. Some do's and dont's : DON'T order wine and then complain it is expensive. The wine IS expensive but that is true everywhere in Thailand (the government tax) do drink Thai beer at best, and it goes better with the spicy food anyway.... More

The welcome, the service and the decor and atmosphere suggested we were in for a very enjoyable evening, however, the wine was grossly overpriced and the food extremely disappointing. My partner and I both ordered curry, dry pork curry for my partner and Massuman for myself. We specifically requested no sugar in the food but both meals were so sweet... More

Dear Roger J, Thank you for taking the time to write this review, we do take all our guests comments seriously and as such I have taken a closer look at your coment regarding our wine prices. It is unfortunate that the Thai tax laws have increased the price of wine 300% but it is a fact of FB life... More

We have stayed at the BT 5 times out of the past 7 years. Each time, Saffron is our big night out. It has the best massaman curry either of us have eaten and the service is unobtrusive, polite and professional. A word of warning though - avoid being seated near spoilt expat families.

We dined at Saffron twice during our stay at the Banyan Tree - on the first night and the last night. The atmosphere was different on each night - quiet on the first night, busy on the second. The staff remembered us the second time around and treated us like royalty. Service is 5-star, which goes along with the 5-star... More
