This is large restaurant near Laguna hotels. I think it assumes customers will not be returning anyway so food was disappointing. No effort and our pork main course was poor. Service fine and attentive but there are many better places to eat nearby. We have become so used to excellent Thai cooking that this was a bit of a shocker.

Nice fruit shakes but food was just average for the prices. We tried quite a few appetizers and most of them were heavily fried (in oil which I would say was due for changing) but some of the group did enjoy the seafood salad. They do have a courtesy car/van to pick you up from your resort.

Popped in for a light lunch. The place was very quiet and peaceful. Where we sat there was nobody other than a couple of staff. I ordered Phad Broccoli with boiled rice. You would usually have broccoli as a side dish but not here. It is a main course and a very good one. There was lots of fresh garlic,... More

The restaurant is set on the Laguna. We had a table right next to the water. We ordered food for four and waited 50 minutes for the starters to arrive. When they did arrive after excuses from the manager the prawn cocktail which my wife had ordered looked like old floppy prawns. Not what we have been used to eating... More

We were sorry to go their very expensive drink and food which you get in other restaurants at a much better price.

We ate here and it's a lovely setting on a lagoon. It's a large restaurant and it wasn't very busy so a table was easy to get. The menu is large and clearly caters to western tourists, but we chose Thai food. The food came in courses which was nice rather than all the dishes arriving at once. We had... More

This restaurant is just outside front gates of the Laguna resort development. It is markedly cheaper than the restaurants within Laguna but it is still not cheap. The main course and non-alchoholic drinks for two cost just over 1,000 baht. The great feature of this restaurant is that it is build over a lagoon which is filled with water lilies... More

Chaba appears to be by far the largest restaurant in the town however the meal we had was very ordinary! The starters such as satay and fish cakes felt like they had been bought at Waitrose, and the green curry was more like soup than a curry, very bland and insipid! The overall cost was around twice as much as... More

250 baht for an average dish, but the food is tasty!! You pay less on the beach but the food isn't as nice. If Chaba improved the seats and tables it would be a lovely restaurant. Would recommend for a good meal.

Service was great. If you dined at the restaurant you could get a 10% discount off its spa treatments that cost above Baht2,500. After your meal, they will thoughtfully arrange for either a boat or car ride to the Chaba spa opposite the restaurant (across the river). The prawn cakes and pineapple rice were tasty. For the prices paid, quality... More
