Salween River Restaurant & Kai Mook Restaurant We visited both in May 2014. We are a Thai/Western family so we regularly eat a mixture of Thai and western foods, and we have no problem conversing with restaurant staff. Salween River has the best location a stones throw from the city lake, Kai Mook is a few minutes walk away closer... More

Very friendly staff, clean, fresh & tasty! Highly recommended. Had the Tom Yam Koong and Geang Bah Kai: fresh herbs, excellent taste.

We ate here two nights in a row. Both nights we had the khao soy and green tea salad. I can't vouch for any of the other food but these two dishes are really all you need... soooooo good. The staff are really friendly and on our second night, they were expecting a big party so they rushed to get... More

Went there today and had dinner. I ordered for the stir-fried mix veggies...and...oh my! It was awesome. I am very picky on food especially Asian food and I just loved it. The veg were crispy, crunchy, tasty, yummy! And the price was also very good, I paid THB 80 including a bottle of water, approximately OMR 1/- WOW! Here's more,... More

Very tasty currys. Best was the green tea salad. Fruit juices are too small and all prices reasonable and much better compared to other restaurants in town that also cater western food. Service was good and polite.

If you stay in Mae Hong Son, do not waste your time or money eating anywhere besides Salween. Seriously. I have been going through some really bad 'green tea salad' withdrawal since I left Mae Hong Son a week ago. Just try it once and you'll understand what I mean.

I've been coming to Mae Hong Son for 5 years and I've lived here for 1. This is by far the best restaurant out here. Whether you opt for their Thai, Burmese, Shan or Western dishes, you will not be disapointed. They are very friendly and speak very good English. I would go as far as to saying this is... More

We had a couple of our best meals in Thailand at Salween River Restaurant - we tasted there Thai, Shan and Burmese food - all was excellent, tasteful, genereous portion and well priced. We didn't taste there western food but I trust it would be great also. Service was friendly and professional - good english and happy to give explanations... More
