Terrific menu selection and great food

We were only in Mae Hing Son for three days but ended up eating most of our meals here. Everything we had was good. We really liked the Burmese and Shan dishes on the menu, especially the wild mushroom salad. Terrific breakfasts with toast made from their gorgeous homemade bread,

As a single (vegetarian) traveler for five weeks I found this place a delightful resting spot. I chose the restaurant on my first night in Mae Hong Son after missing a bus stop 44 k out of town. I was bit frazzled and althoughI liked thee hustle and bustle of the local night market around the lake, I did not... More

Dropped in here for lunch after arriving in Mae Hong Son and after wandering around the lake. Frankly wasn't expecting much but was hungry enough to try. Ordered a simple chicken burger and Soda Manao and both were delicious. After checking on Trip Advisor I saw they were the 2nd best rated restaurant in town and I can attest to... More

My partner and I ate at this place for all of our meals whilst in Mae Hong Song- we absolutely loved it! The food was always spot on and we always looked forward to our next visit. Both being vegetarian we were happy to find lots of veggie options on the menu; indeed the tofu was amazing! We especially enjoyed... More

This place is worth its good reviews, first of all due to the good location and the very friendly and attentive waiters and secondly as there aren't that many other great restaurants in this town.. Or maybe I'm mistaken, God knows. Thing is though that tourism isn't really at its best nowadays in MHS, yet at Salween it's almost always... More

Salaween was a nice surprise. Listed here as a vegetarian place they had aful menu of veg and non veg selections. We stopped for lunch and tried a few of their Shan dishes. Service was great and the food was very good. I can't speak for the thai or western selections. But the Shan cooking was great. Laphet; Shan tea... More

Try the Shan and Burmese items! The green tea salad is fabulous and so are the potatoe cakes! The Burmese food is mild compared to the spicy Thai food but everything is delicious!

Had breakfast here and everything spot on. Fresh brewed locally grown coffee, delicious omelet stuffed with tasty treats and best of all - their home made toasted bread. A superb start to the day. They also do evening meals which look great although I didnt try it. A cosy little place next to the lake in centre of town with... More
