This place is amazing.. Located near the historical sites of Kanchanburi, it is easy to find. Once you go in you will realize that you are in for an gastronomy experience. The menu seems to have food from lots of places. The chick mazo sandwich was good. The service was also good. My only complaint is that it is expensive... More

Very food good, quirky little restaurant. Good service at decent prices. We did eat a table on the road though as inside was full..

I was short of time and desperate for a bite to eat mid-afternoon, so headed for Mangosteen after seeing good reviews on Tripadvisor. I was not disappointed! Location is good for the railway station, war cemetery and museum, though if you refer to the map on their website just keep looking out for the water-tower - it's right by there.... More

They serve food from almost every country and it all looks yummy! Menu is in English, easy to read. friendly staff, efficient service. It is quite small so could be difficult to get a table at busy times. Absolutely no regrets, a great little restaurant :)

Don't think about it. Just get it. Mangosteen is delicious, and the menu has a lot to offer. There's a whole section devoted to mozarella sandwiches- even one with bacon! But there's no competition for the mozzarella chicken. Its a huge chicken breast with plenty of cheese melted on a baguette. We got one for lunch, then the next day... More

We had the platter which was well presented with some nice food. The shakes are good and there are plenty of books to look at.

The cheese and apple salad... Amazing. Service was great. Western service and etiquette. (i.e drinks first, starters came as starters, etc). The establishment grows many of their own produce. Had spicy Isaan sausage here for the first time and it was great. The portions are decent sized and the food very good. We ordered a number of dishes and, as... More

Good experience, however: portions are much smaller than on the menu images. Quit friendly staff. We took two omelets and three coffee for 300 baht.

This was by far the best restaurant we ate at during our 2 night stay in Kanchanaburi in terms of food quality. The road that it is on is lined with with restaurants. Most are open-faced, as in they have a garage style door that is open and thus use fans instead of AC. Mangosteen however is enclosed, has good... More

A good introduction into Thai food for beginners. I can't think of anything bad to say about Mangosteen, the place is very inviting and informal with books to buy, rent or read . Nat, the lady whose business it is,is lovely and now,she and her husband have opened a very smart restaurant across the river. This is a bit more... More
