Description: There are a number of good restaurants along the wharf area. Saeng Thai is a very good option. We tried Chaolay Seafood as it was recommended by one of the local residents of Hua Hin. It was an excellent recommendation. Before climbing the steps into the main restaurant you pass a large selection of fresh fish. Once on the pier, there is an army of staff to seat and serve you. My colleague and I ordered a scallop appetizer, a whole fish main course and a large fried rice side dish. The food was very good and the pricing reasonable, less than $30 for all of the food and 4 beers. Chaolay is worth a visit.

There are a few restaurant's in Hua Him that are set on wooden piers overlooking the ocean and this is one that was recommended to us.The staff were so depressingly stubbornly....that we asked if anybody smiled around here!!!! The service was Mon existent. The cocktails appeared devoid of alcohol....We waited nearly an hour for a small lobster thermidor. The spaghetti... More

We went to this open air restaurant on the sea front three times and apart from the last time thoroughly enjoyed it. It is always buzzing and there is a good variety of food.On our first visit we had scallops in garlic followed by prawn curry mousse served in a coconut, both delicious, the second time we had fried noodles... ChaoLay Seafood is an institution on the beach in Hua Hin. We've eaten there several times, and enjoy the open air atmosphere and extensive seafood menu. The place is usually crowded, but don't let other reviewers kid you; most of the customers are tourists (including many Thai tourists). Service is variable; often quite slow when crowded, but always friendly. Always... More

Returning to Hua Hin after plus 25 years, surprised to see all seafood restaurants continue to stand on their stilts in the sea. I remember that the environment itself tickled more than food, and so you could say that it is still. Not as charmingly chaotic as I remembered, feels like night market has taken some of the seafood lovers. But it... Went there for dinner on our first night in Hua Hin. Quality of seafood is pretty average, although the tom yum soup was too oily for our liking. Staff was mostly attentive. Loved the view of the sea, and that's why I have it at 4 stars instead of 3.

This place runs like a well oiled machine. Menu is extensive. Thai food was delicious. If you like seafood, you will not be disappointed. Fish market is underneath. Menu also has pizzas and more Western dishes for kids and less adventurous eaters. Ambiance is ...very Thai?!? You are eating on a pier under harsh light. However your crab, lobster, shrimp,... We really hope we'd discovered it earlier during our stay here in Huahin. We've dine in many places here but this one gave us the best and funny experience. When we got to the place using our GPS we were thrilled with a lot of fresh seafood before the stairs leading to the restaurant. The place is mixed with thai... More

Have been here a few times over the last couple of yeatst. It's unpretentious, busy, full of locals and tourists and the food is just great - and because it's so reasonably priced, you don't mind trying different things. Just great. And the toilets are fine too (v important......).

Always visit this local gem at least twice every time I'm in Hua Hin. The food is excellent and portions generous. Come when it's busy around 8pm. Try to get a table out on the pier. Don't let the bright lights scare you off, it just adds to the local feeling. Dining is fast, fun and very affordable. Stay with... More

Excellent Thai seafood dishes. Packed with Thais and relatively few westerners when I went there. If you go avoid the tables near the rails as ants can be a problem.
