A regular stop on our visits to Hua Hin. Much has been said about this pier restaurant, we simply love it and hope that it will keep its simplicity. Always a great lunch start after the road trip from Bangkok! We will be back

Out of the many seafood restaurant on piers along that stretch of the beach, Chao Lay is the best. The food tastes great, the service is fast and the price is reasonable. The servers don't understand much English but the menus have pictures so it is easy to order. You need to climb some steep wooden stairs to reach the... More

We arrived as a family of 7 and the staffs quickly asked us to sat at the entrance area of restaurant. We wanted to sit in the open area but the staffs made it clear that they have no intention to think of an option even though there are a few adjoining tables of 4 available. Luckily my brother spotted... More

A very popular restaurant therefore it attracts a large crowd. If you can put up with this and get a good table then this is a great place for seafood by the beach.

The localtion is ok, not to far from night market and walking distance. The atmosphere is ok, you can see the ocean and feels the breeze. The food taste was good & fresh. The price is ok, not too expensive. Lots of foreigners but not too many locals. The service is ok, nothing special like hotel hospitality. It is good... More

Chao Lay was recommended by our friendly hotel concierge as a safe bet - and it was. For a no fuss, decent sea food meal, in a restaurant near the centre of town with sea views and brisk service it was just what we wanted. Don't arrive too late for dinner - it was crowded by 7 pm. Food and... More

We ate at Chao Lay on a recommendation, and weren't disappointed. It's a large restaurant situated along a huge pier extending out into the sea, with good nighttime views. Service was good if a little chaotic. Some of the food (deep fried sea bass) was excellent, but some other deep fried dishes were quite heavy. Worth a go if in... More

Whenever I visit Hua Hin I make it a point to dine in one of the seaside decks overlooking the Gulf of Thailand. While this place was highly rated I found it no different from others I visited earlier. In fact the others have easier access for disabled or elderly customers. So for the average food on offer and indifferent... More

Came to this restaurant twice on my visit to Hua Hin. The first time was just to have a cold beer and enjoy the view. The second time was to have dinner and neither time was i disappointed. I found the food to be very good, reasonably priced and well presented. The staff were attentive and this place gets very... More

What can I say we got no food as we watched group after group come and go. While we were sitting there asking very nicely where is our order. After an hour I gave up and left. I did only pay for half of my extremely over priced drinks. That was not there choose I just handed them the money... More
