Good food, great location

Went here for lunch and was happy with the meal. Good, fresh seafood, had a pork salad which was above standard as well. Was the busiest restaurant on the pier that day so I'm glad we picked this one. Have been here before and wasn't disappointed. Would recommend.

This is not an elegant place! One full of happy groups enjoying a wide range of very fresh fish and shell fish. We ate well prepared Pomfret in tamarind sauce, soft shell crab....which I found at no other fish restaurant here! If you are a lover of fish.....do yourself a favour and try the establishment!

We were in no rush and this place seemed busy so we gave it a try. The prices including the seafood cooked to order were slightly more than elsewhere but the portions, particularly for the starters were bigger than elsewhere. Quality was pretty good and service prompt, coupled with it having the benefit of a sea breeze it didn't disappoint.

stumbled here really wasn't very busy when we went in about 715pm but it came so. We started with vegetable rolls and fish cake which were just okay. However my pan fried squid which if you like squid, has to be,cooked perfect was. My wife's whole sea bass was a tale of two sides garlic one, lemon and ginger the... More

Don't understand some of the recent negative comments , we come to Hua Hin and elsewhere in Thailand regularly and food is always good especially if you understand what to order. It's Thailand, so don't expect fancy dressed waiters pampering to your every whim and don't expect it to be elegant. This is proper, good and well cooked food mostly... More

Ate there following a local recommendation and this plus the atmospheric setting meant we thought we were in for a treat. We selected a number of "specials" and whilst one or two we're ok none came together and we waited an hour for the first dish and by the time the fish came it was cold, dry and "specially" bad.... Very good food and service. I recommand this restaurant if you are looking for a good Thai fish restaurant. We had a lovely meal ! I had a crab dish in served in a coconut (suggestion of the menu), it was really nice. The smoothies are also tasty. All in all good thai food !

We went here after 6 p.m. and it was filled up fast after that. Vast amount of seafood to choose from. We had lobster, prawns and a whole fish to share and everything was good. It is worth trying various dishes in these fish restaurants.

We visit Hua Hin regularly and always go to Chao Lay at least once. It is slightly more expensive than others but worth it it for the food and ambience. The staff are excellent and well trained. There is usually a queue for a table but you never have to wait long. The menu is extensive and the food is... More

Eight family member with a small child. The seafood are fresh; steamed shrimp, roasted sea shell, fried sea fish with fried garlic on top, Gaeng Som Talay (sour soup), finished with crab fried rice (not too oily). On the whole, one of the better family seafood restaurant in Hua Hin.
