good food no english

Good food delivered quickly but few of the staff spoke english and some of the order was wrong. It was strongly recommended by our hotel staff; was good but did not live upto expectations.

If you like Asian food, you should love this place. If you're not accustomed to Asian food, it might take a bit of time. ;-) We were recommend this restaurant by our hotel receptionists as the best Thai restaurant in town. Try the Thai sausage! as well as the more mainstream Asian dishes. Nicely air-conditioned, bathroom could be improved but... More

Delicious authentic Thai food in clean, air-conditioned restaurant. Very good service. Well-frequented by Thais and tourists.

Popped into this restaurant to take a breather while doing the Saturday walking market. It was heaving, full of locals out for a Saturday night and a couple of private parties in side rooms. It was a bit more expensive than other places in the area, but the Lanna sausage and chicken with cashewnuts were lovely. Service a bit haphazard... More

Food seemed overpriced for the flavor and the cuts of meat. I've lived in Thailand for a while, and this restaurant stood out as overpriced. Food wasn't terrible, just not worth 150 baht per plate.

Food was okay but not great, and definitely not as good as you'd expect based on the price (150 baht for most entrees). Atmosphere was mediocre as well. Of the three dishes we had, the chicken cashew was the only standout. It had a distinctive smoky flavor that stood out. And again, for the kind of price you'd pay at... More

We hit Phu Lae on our last of five nights in Chiang Rai and were sorry we went. It's not that Phu Lae's food is bad, it's that it's just mediocre in a town with plenty of fabulous options. The competition is too good to waste a meal at Phu Lae. So where should you go instead? About 4 blocks... More

Found this great restaurant quite by accident. Just out looking for something to eat & saw a great looking place with a great looking atmosphere. Great menu featuring ample selections of Northern Thai Food. Service was wonderful with many service staff to handle your wants & needs. Will add this to my 'must do again' list for next trip to... Friendly Greeting on arrival and helpful advice before you even open the Menu on dishes.Good tasty food ,particularly Tom Ka Kai,spring rools and crab cakes to die for.Interestingly some good vegetarian options.Everything is freshly prepared then cooked. This can cause slight delays ,but the large windows help make it an interesting people watching spot. Good value for money

i asked my Thai brother in law to take us somewhere clean, modern and with good food. Phu Lae was where he took us. the restaurant is famous in Chiang Rai for its good food and sure enough there are many photos of celebs and an esteemed visit from the Princess of Thailand to prove it. Restaurant was indeed very... More
