located in the long beach area.always crowded by tourist,no thais....i belive that they have some kind of issue with indians and their ways(the thais).I tried to get a thai friend too eat there but even he ordered a simple thai meal(fried rice)he couldnt get it down. Anyway service good, just make ur order,go to any bar nearby, have a drink with friends... More

I am a fan of Indian / Bangladeshi cooking, so I was keen to try this place. Like many restaurants in this tourist town, it tries to offer a range of cuisines, including Scandinavian, Italian, and Thai as well as Indian. This is fine if you can do them well. This place does not. The selection of Indian dishes was... More

Before we went to Cha-am this month we searched net and TA for Indian / Vegetarian food and found very few places, among them Aree. We took two dinners here and enjoyed the food. A small, hard to find homely place. Food prepared was good, tasty and reasonably priced. May not be the best Indian food in Thailand, but is... More

The guy that served us lacked any personality and didn't smile throughout his entire interaction with us. The Indian food was appalling. Microwaved packet popadams set the standard which was followed by bland, over buttered sauces. The only place inn two weeks of travelling that I didn't feel warranted a tip

A lot of older norwegians eating here, but the food is very good and the service is good. The restaurant tends to be pretty busy.

Friends introduced us to this fabulous restaurant. The service is excellent, and the food is the best Indian cuisine we have ever tasted. The price is reasonable. Also...very clean...not to be missed.

Living a little outside Cha-am, went wednesday night for the night marked (very nice experience) and afterwards we went down to the sea-side for Aree. Placed in a small alley just close to the beach - we found it. Nice place, nice staff and nice indian food. Its worth visiting if you like indian food.

Small restaurant at the northern end of Cha am. Probably the right choice if you want to enjoy Indian food at Cha am. The place is a family business and the owner/cook is Indian that makes the food authentic. His Thai wife is doing the service. The menu is international and extensive, but we only tried the Indian section that... More

We have been here three times now and the Indian food prepared by the Nepalese owner and cook is really good. We especially enjoyed the tandoori chicken. The service we have had each time from the delightful waitress Nit was first class. While the restaurant has an extensive Indian menu it also provides Thai food and an extensive western menu.
