I think if they said good, honest, fresh simple mexican food that would be great and true. I think the whole best Mexican thing sets expectations too high. It's not a restaurant that you feel like having a long leisurely dinner, more a pop in, eat your food and leave kind of joint. My burger was OK a bit dry... More

Tried this place, because we wanted some food variety after a few days of Thai food. The food here is quite pricey compared to most of the Thai restaurants, but just average. We already traveled to Mexico and the food here is not very authentic. We had the fajitas and the tacos - the black beans were tasteless, the portions... More

From the outside this restaurant doesn't look much ,don't let that put you off the food and service is outstanding, every thing is fresh and made on the premises the best Mexican food that we have ever had. The owners need to bring in colour into the restaurant as it lacks curb appeal I think this would attract more people to... More

Too often you open a menu and are bombarded with hundreds of choices. The menu at the Rust Pelican keeps it simple and offers the best of the Mexican dishes plus burgers. I get the feeling that by doing this that are able to provide a consistently high standard. We had a variety of dishes here and they were all... More

We tried this place because we had a hankering for Mexican food, and it claimed to be the best. However we felt it was overpriced relative to the local Thai places we visited. The food from the limited menu was fresh and did hit the spot, but for chips ($3), 2 dinners and 3 soft drinks drinks we paid about... More

As an American I can testify that this is the real deal when it comes to Mexican food. It's the best I've had in a long time, and the best I've ever had in Thailand. The owner is very friendly and has a surplus of knowledge about the area. Also, the atmosphere is perfect for just relaxing and playing pool... More

Sizzling fajitas and the burrito was lovely! And big portions too. Would definitely come back! Fast and friendly service.

We came here last year for a drink and decided to eat here this year to have a break from Thai food as this is one of the few places you can enjoy a full western experience. The burger was small given that the place is owned by an American - yet it was very tasty but lacked a variety... More

Loved this place as the owner is from LA and actually gave a ton of great insight on where to go and where to avoid. Came in here to weather a brief rainstorm and extremely glad we did. Wish we came back for the food but either way this is a good watering hole and I hear they have great... More
