Gets busy, but worth squeezing in

This tourists cafe is justifiably popular, and you may have to squeeze up to get a seat. All the usual drinks, snacks and desserts are on offer - but the highlight in my opinion are the cheesecakes - they are as good as any I have tasted anywhere else in the world!

Whilst in Arusha we visited Africafe more than once, to get our fill of their delicious fresh mango juice and cakes. Their cooked food is nothing particularly special, though does the job, but the best value for money definitely comes from their bakery section. The inside is very clean, modern and comfortable and comes complete with a power ballads playlist... More

Don't get me wrong, a safari is a fantastic experience, but after so many days in the wild, going to such a lovely, western style coffee house with fantastic coffee is the best thing possible. It is in the center of Arusha

We just arrived in Tanzania after spending 3 months in South America. Africafe is a nice place, but I wasn't too impressed by the coffee. The coffee tasted a bit burned and too dark roasted. Maybe that is caused by the dark roasted beans that they use, but in general the taste is nowhere near as good as the Colombian... More

They have done a good job with what they have but they just need more, also the location is not so safe, I don't normally park there and walking is not the safest thing there either, watch out for those mwisis!!!

The coffeee was excellent and in a very pleasant environment. We enjoyed the lovely atmosphere, the great crepes and a wonderful coffee which you do not get elsewhere.

whenever we come to Arusha, we always come at least once by the Africafe. The mix of people, good food, international choice of drinks lets you have a good time and get a rest bevor you head back out.

About as good as it gets in Arusha. Half descent coffee and ok burgers and fries make this clean, safe coffee shop an ideal lunch stop and safe haven from the chaos and lucky lucky men that plague Arusha.

We had 3 or 4 breakfasts here on our recent trip to Arusha and each time we found the staff friendly, with good service, tasty food, in a nice and clean place & a very relaxed atmosphere. Can't comment on the hot meals as all we had was toast and muffins and fruit but the menu looked reasonably extensive and... More
