The restaurant was recommended by our hotel. We went with family of 8. It was so good we came back twice! The authentic decoration were scenes from our childhood -- the cinema ticketing office, the school classroom, the staircase, street scenes. We had great time exploring and reminiscing. The 4 year-old had a fabulous time behind the ticket counter, on... More

Very nice ambiance and food is delicious. Only set back, you need to queue up before seated. A long wait to good food. For those wanting to go , be prepared to wait, but its worth it.

This restaurant presents the past street view of Taiwan, letting people recall and feel like they are back in old days, the decorations are cool and the atmosphere is really great, they also serves the original Taiwanese cuisine, you can either share the plates with friends or just have the set meal for yourself. If you got some foreign friends,... More

Visited on March. Must bring your camera! Took lots of photos. Food not bad but quite pricey. The coffee was nice though.

The restaurant has an old feel of what Taiwan was before. You should bring a camera and take lots of pictures. The food was so so but definitely worth the trip.

Went there during weekday, not crowded. Nothing special about the food. A restaurant with old days (70's,80's) decoration. Really bring back memories of my childhood. A good place to take photos.

Went there for dinner after seeing reviews from TA. The place is not crowded at all somehow and mainly tourists. Food are a bit pricey and is like home cooked food. We ordered two dishes only as just both of us and the fried chai pu egg is quite oily. The plus point is really for photo taking as we... More

This restaurant serves chinese food with standard taste (good taste, but not very special). But it completes your dining experience by bringing old days' theme in. On the outside there's an old bus displaying old school..(hey, even Super Junior took a photo there!). In the inside, there's an old car, old motorbike, mock-up of 1960's dentist room, barbershop, cigarette stall,... More

I visited this restaurant recently. It has a very old-school 80's concept to it. It was nice to be dining here soaking up the atmosphere taking photos here and there. Found the food a bit pricey though. During the early part hours 11 am -2pm , they sell stir fry dishes around NT$150-$200 There are also dim sum items but... More

After traveling for almost 10hours (overnight flight + waited for Airport Telco to open + 2 hours bus ride from TaoYuan Airport to TaiChung + check-in hotel), it was so nice to finally sit down for a nice cosy lunch at 香蕉新樂園茶飯館. We loved the old train cabin that was parked just outside the restaurant. Our kids were quite thrilled... More
