We went to Yaletown Bistro while we were in Kaohsiung for Christmas 2014. They had a Christmas Set menu which we opted for and were very, very impressed. We could have shared one set menu. We started with eggnog & bourbon, then squash soup, a generous bowl of chicken drumsticks with a couple of different sauces, crispy fries with flavourful... More

This place is ok. The price is quite cheap which is good. The fries are a tiny bit strange. Worth going but don't expect something great, although the menu is quite attractive.

We've been here a few times in the last couple of weeks because we love their menu. It's like a new toy for us, maybe its shiny-newness will wear off, but not yet! We're working down their menu like a checklist. Had a few of their paninis and haven't been disappointed yet, and truffle fries and cajun fries are highly... More

I happened by this place by accident and it made my week. The service was friendly and the food was delicious. It reminded me of home. I would have gone back if I had enough time. It was a great find and delicious casual dining.

I'm Canadian so I just had to visit Yaletown Bistro, which offers Canadian favourites like poutine. I got there about opening time for the evening, before it got busy, so there was no problem with waiting for my food. The delicious chicken Caesar salad I ordered was so big, It took me half an hour to eat it all. Strawberry... More

Living in Taiwan, it's pretty hard to come by Western fare and what's out there is usually American style. So, I was thrilled when the wife and I discovered Yaletown Bistro... and in Kaohsiung, of all places! Kaohsiung is 1/3 the size of Taipei (the capital) and has relatively few foreign nationals, which is why finding Yaletown Bistro there was... More

I went ahead and nibbled at everything we ordered (party of 4). My favorite was the honey dijon chicken sandwich. Additionally, the butter chicken wasn't bad, but it wasn't my favorite. The smoothies are delicious, although the lemon and mint one was a bit odd. I felt as if the mint wasn't actual leaves, and it was more a flavoring.... More

Went on a weekday it was really nice. Great atmosphere and a good panini. Went on the weekend it was terrible. We had to wait for a seat, then we were told it was going to be a 20 minute wait for the sandwhich. Our sandwich didn't come till 45 minutes after we ordered it, and it wasn't of the... More

This place is OK. The poutine was a fair approximation but doesn't use proper cheese curds and the fries were over-fried. Definitely skip it if you're from Quebec--you'll be disappointed. The berry smoothie I had with it was good, though.
