Good food, great ambience

For a taste of local cuisine and some nostalgia -- you can't go wrong with this restaurant. A short walk from the Aozidi MTR station, it has a huge variety of local cuisine and most importantly, the food is excellent. If you're travelling with a group, I recommend the set menu. The restaurant is just like a history museum with antiques placing everywhere. Food quality is okay. Lunch set is reasonably priced. The only disadvantage is that there is always a long queue. Better make a reservation in advance.

Although not a native Taiwanese still I belong to the same southern China dialect group and whenever I eat here I'll think of home cooked food. This is one of the best place for an authentic Taiwanese food and the decoration adds the fun to the great taste. Must visit.

Decorated with old Taiwan style. They serve Taiwanese foods, which tasted good and with a fair price! We highly recommend this restaurant to our friends~ Definitely will come back again!

Located about 5 minutes walk from Aozhidi MRT station, it's easy to find. Themed with retro memorabilia, there's lots to look at. The staff were lovely and when our waitress couldn't figure out what we needed, her colleague came over and helped. They have some fixed sets, but we chose from the customised sets on pages 18-20 of the menu,... More

This restaurant serves many Taiwan dishes that is no longer available elsewhere. The food is good, just not exceptionally great. What makes this restaurant stands out is their big collection of antiques from Taiwan's past. You should (and everyone does) walk around, enjoying the antiques as much as the food.

The menu here is huge and features a wide range of traditional dishes along with some new ones. I have been assured by locals that crocodile and ostrich never featured on the menu in the olden days. There are heaps of old artifacts to hold the interest should the conversation start to wane. I marked the service down as no... More

Tasty food, interesting interior decor. Worthy of a trip to try the food. Ordered sautéed boar with green chilli, cold steamed chicken, sautéed pork with sugar cane shoots. All were quite tasty and the smoothies were huge size. Restaurant decorated like a old times Taiwan bus station, very interesting and great photo-ops for friends and family.

The decoration of this restaurant takes you all the way back to the 40s Taiwan down to every detail. The theme uses authentic items which can be traced back to those period. Everything from the seatings of the old "train station" (waiting area), mail box, electric poles, theater replica, general store & items to its variety of authentic Taiwanese food... More

The portions in this restaurant are not meant for one person. It's more like for you to go with a bunch of people and order a bunch of stuff and share it. However, most of the food are traditional taiwanese food, and the setting and decorations of the restaurant is super unique. It's decorated to resemble what taiwan used to... More
