It's on the main road through town, so it's easy to find. On walking towards the restaurant, the main chef behind the counter gave us a big "hello". Some locals ushered us to share the same street-side table as them so we sat down. They started trying to suggest some dishes but then Mr Goose came over. Luckily for us,... More

It is in the center of Hualian city next to a church. Crowded place , tasty Taiwanese food with famous goose meat and liver . Bosses are friendly and food very fast to come by.Very reasonable price.

Taiwanese clients brought us here. Time was tight due to pending train departure, and the queue outside this ramshackle foodstand/café made me think this wasn't going to happen, but we managed to grab a table inside and for 45 minutes experienced the most incredible lunch of goose, bird nest ferns, bamboo shoots, fois gras, fried oysters, and Taiwan beer which... Was cycling around town and it was getting dark and tired after a day trip to Taroko Gorge. The place was packed and we decided to check it out. And we were so happy with the service. Although it was so crowded and busy, the owners took time (instead of rushing through) to introduce their speciality dishes, which was the... More

Unlike the other reviewers, we would not recommend this at all. This was one of our worst meals in whole of Taiwan. We did not find the goose meat tender. Service was lacking and the restaurant looked worn out. Worst of all, we spotted broken window panes with the broken glass exposed right next to our seat. There was another... More

Went in on a late afternoon, and was very happy that we went in to is restaurant. The restaurant was not crowded at that time and we managed to get a seat. Ordered a plate of goose meat, cockles soup and fried vegetable. Food were nice and reasonably priced. Highly recommended!!

It was a small place. It does not have a door. The store front is like a stall. Eaters sit both inside and outside. We did not eat there. We just bought some goose meat to take back to our hotel because we were exhausted from the day trip. The goose was cut into pieces. You can pick any piece... More
