Upon entering you will quickly be greeted by a very friendly hostess. It is a very clean, modern looking establishment. A little house music playing in the background. Upon seating they get your drink order, and ask if you want to start with salad, your choice of 3 kinds. Then if you want soup, two choices. After this I was... More

Food is good, pricing is dishonest. Meals are split in two parts: 1. Appetizers (Order salads, drinks, soup): NTD 80/serving 2. Main Course (Steak): Based off of meat and weight When I ordered my cut (Australian Kobe) I asked for 350 grams. The guy cut and weighed 322 - and repeated it to me. My wife asked for 300 grams... Great steak house in the heart of Hsinchu city. The owner had a great vision when opening this establishment. I'm from Texas and grew up on steaks and potatoes, so not every ones steak is great. I had never been to a steak house that actually lets you pick the cut and portion right out of the display cooler. Nice.... More

This is by far the best steak in Hsinchu. They have recently expanded the dining area, but you still pick out whatever kind of steak you prefer and they will charge by weight. The cooks are excellent and will cook the way you like. Soup appetizers and steaks are served with your choice of potato along with some veggies. Beers... More

Probably the best steak I have eaten in Taiwan. Sure, it was expensive, but it was a delicious way to spend my money. The restaurant is clean, with a trendy atmosphere. The waiters speak English fairly well. I'd recommend getting a reservation. The choice of cuts of meat are exemplary. You choose how thick you want your steak, then they... More

I have been there so many times, since they opened.. i travel all around the world and i eat a lot of meat, but its very hard to impress me since i eat at the BBQ house where the beef actually tastes like beef and the service is very good.. price is good for quality and i love the fact... More

The steak is good if you can get it cooked the way you actually like it. Their idea of medium is more like medium rare. Also the meat price is based on weight so you can have the same weight of meat and drink cost you 3 different prices each time you go. They also only take cash which sucks... More

Amazing high-grade steaks sliced fresh off the shank according to your size choice. Pricing is right on par with typical steakhouse prices, but the portions are generous. A bit out of the way in Hsinchu, but the sign is easy to spot. It seems to be a popular spot for foreigners, and it's quite small, so make a reservation ahead... More

When I go to a steak house in Taiwan, I want STEAK - and a lot of it! A place where 'medium' doesn't mean bloddy and rare. I don't care if it's "poorly decorated" or not, I just want good quality, fresh beef. I'd prefer a regular place to a high-end restaurant that charges ridiculous prices for ity-bitty portions about... More

Other reviews said the place is poorly decorated, and... well... maybe they are right. BUT: The place is great. Go in and get seated. Order your soup/salad, then go to the meat counter where you steak (or salmon or pork) is cut to the thickness you want. If you're not sure how you'd like it cooked they'll talk you through... More
