Super for breakfast

We ate breakfast here on a few occasions as it was very good value for money and also lunch on one occasion. The breakfast which cost 550 roupies is delicious - the fruit platter is copiuos and you also get eggs, toast or rottie and tea or coffee. Its a small family run café with an open front... read more

Once we managed to get a table in this little resto, the entire experience was great. We went for the chicken special curry, prawn special and an extra cuttlefish. It came with 5 accompanying veggie options. Hard pressed which was the best, the aubergine and couscous dishes were definite favourites. Only drawback, you can't have a beer: it's no alcohol... Very friendly family-style restaurant that offers my mum's favourite curry throughout our 8-day trip around Sri Lanka. The restaurant is small but warm. The food is prepared on the ground with love. The price is also very fair.

A family-run restaurant offering freshly prepared food at very fair prices - a joy to dine there. Be warned, it's popular so you may have to wait and may even miss out on the excellent Sri Lankan rice and curry dinner if you leave it late in the evening.

My wife and I had a delightful breakfast at this family run, cozy, friendly place on the main commercial strip in the Fort. We can't vouch for the lunch and dinner fare, but we liked the menu and we'd guess the food was freshly prepared and presented as well as our breakfast.

Very frindly family driven cafe, with high quality and fully homemade food. You'll properly have to wait 15 minutes, because food is made from ground. Simply the best in town. We visited for eastern as well as western breakfast, several times. Lunch and dinner is same highquality.

The eastern breakfast is very good, we highly recommend the string hoppers with seeni sambol. That's why we came back in the evening to try the seafood. The food was delicious, but sadly the served portion was to small. Just remember to bring enough time for breakfast ;)

My wife and had breakfast and dinner here yesterday and went back for breakfast again this morning. Sensational hoppers and string hoppers for breakfast along with roti. Accompanying dishes were all fabulous. Prawn and vegetable curry dinner dishes were also delightful. The dry chilli paste they make is a great accompaniment too. As someone else mentions these dishes aren't made... More

Great value breakfast, especially in the fort. Only 550 ruppees for tea/coffee, fruit platter/fruit juice, 2 eggs, 3 slices of toast/3 pancakes. They also bring the food in stages which is nice and not too overwhelming. Allows you to have a leisurely breakfast.
