Wonderful service, wonderful food, a little pricey but...awesome!

My husband and I were passing through Albany on a road trip. We stopped at the Holiday Inn and they recommended going to Jack's which was three blocks away and we would have a 10% discount due to our hotel stay. It sounded perfect to us after a long day on the road. We tramped up to Jack's in... read more

One of the best restaurants in Albany. Jack's has been around as long as I can remember. Unlike the "newer" restaurants this one has the feel of and charm of the past. Décor is understated and classy. The food and service, second to none.

Another great time at Jack's. Took a client out for lunch and we had a great meal. Wine and food selection made fit everyone.

I've lived in Albany all my life, but never tried Jack's. I went with my wife and kids this weekend. They have two different kinds of NY Strip, choice and prime. I went with prime. It's a 47 dollar steak. Ordered medium it came out nearly raw. It was refired, came back out at medium. But this was not like... More

Just a lovely dining experience. Professional, experienced wait staff, beautiful, old - world charm, the freshest food prepared with care & creativity. Of course, the Rhode island Oysters were outstanding. Dont wait for a special occasion, Jack's is an experience to be savored and shared. Thanks, Brad, for being the consummate host.

What a surprise, the wine is exemplary and simply worth the stop. The appetizers add to this experience. Be very specific about your dinner, we found they cooked everything well done, regardless of our direction. It was good but could have been great. Service was overly friendly, and could have been more professional...

The food is good not great and the menu was limited. The most impressive aspect of the experience was the excellent service. Prices are high for what is being prepared. Would not recommend.

I have no complaints. After being invited to join some friends, then reading some sub-par online reviews, I went here ready to be underwhelmed... but I thought my meal was wonderful and the service was delightful! I really enjoyed looking at the old motifs and photos in the dinning room. I ordered the Strip Steak (medium) which was perfectly cooked... More

Jacks is a lovely restaurant with a real feeling for Albany's great history. The staff is exceptional. The menu, however, is very limited. Although the food is good for the price one would expect much better.

Food quality and portions were not what I expected. Given the raving reviews from colleagues, I expected to have a great culinary experience. I left disappointed and have no plans of returning,
