The food here is good, but not very creative. The menu is interesting in that you can get various types of cuisine - Mexican, Mediterranean, steak, seafood - but nothing really jumps out at you as anything you couldn't get somewhere else.

We had a huge plate of the calamari for an appetizer. That was followed by three pump house burger and the Mediterranean sampler. That was to much food for the two of us. Each dish was excellent with large portions for the money. I tried the stout and brown ale which were both great.

I travel by myself for work and The Albany Pump Station is my go-to restaurant when I'm in town. Great service, great atmosphere, great food, great beer/whiskey selection. It makes me feel at home.

My husband and I absolutely loved the atmosphere and everything we tried here. Highly recommend this spot for anytime. We went for a late lunch around three.

I have been to Albany Pump Station a handful of times, and always had an acceptable, if not outstanding, experience. The service is solidly average, and the food ranges from average to very good, depending on what you order. This is one of those places that you go to more for the experience of eating there than the food itself.... More

My ribs were supposed to be locally smoked, with a dry rub, st louis-style. Imagine my surprise when they appeared slathered in BBQ sauce. A better description would be "pork chop nuked with BBQ sauce". Beers were good. Service was lacking. When I started flagging down random waiters you wou think one of them would think to get my waiter.

The place is really nice. The food and the service great. If you like beer, there are different varieties to choose. Don't miss the opportunity to have a good time in a great place.

I was in Albany for work last year when we had our end of project celebration at Albany Pump Station that included about 25 or 30 people. We enjoyed it so much that when we were in town for the same project this year, several of us ate dinner here twice during our week-long stay. The food and service were... More

My husband was working in Albany, so I came down for a weekend visit. We were looking for a nice place to have Sunday dinner before I left for the drive home. Weirdly enough, a lot of the nicer restaurants are closed on Sunday in Albany. Maybe because it's the state capitol and most of the restaurant business gets done... More
