I had just finished a 400 mile bike ride and this place was right at the finish line. The beers were great, service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Was pleasantly surprised. Would definitely go again!

I stopped in at the Albany Pump Station with four coworkers on a Wednesday evening. At 6:00pm there was a two hour wait. Albany is a popular tourist and convention town so plan ahead and make reservations. We left and went elsewhere but made reservations for a Thursday evening and came back the next day. Our table was ready and... More

Pump Station was an excellent choice for an early dinner prior to a show. Staff was friendly and efficient. Food was great as well as atmosphere.

We had dinner here recently as it was recommended as lively and casual. What we didn't expect was the live mouse skittering around the dining room! The server said they were aware of the problem and working on it. Our meals were reasonably priced and there was a mice (oops!) variety to choose from including beers made on sight. My... More

I actually visited two nights in a row. The first was just for a drink (turned into 2) at the bar with an appetizer (the Mediterranian plate was terrific - easily enough for two). The second night I was there for a full on dinner. Service was excellent, food came piping hot, and I really appreciated the fact that in... More

We always eat here when we are attending a concert at the Palace Theater in Albany. If you don't make reservations you can expect a 45-60 minute wait for a table. Last night we had a special 3 course meal at a very reasonable price. I had the calamari appetizer which came in a bowl large enough to be considered... More

This was not an uplifting dining experience. Actually, I found the service to be the best thing about this restaurant. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that I didn't have to keep asking for refills of my water glass. The brewery-style decor was understandable given the history of the place, but the carpeting was old, worn, dark... More

The restaurant has a cool look but the food is great! The food on the menu was different and delish! Great beer selection that are all brewed there! The service was attentive and quick. The food tasted great. I had a delicious raspberry hefweizen. When in the area give Albany Pump a visit.
