This restaurant was highly rated on Tripadvisor so I went. I was very disappointed. The enchiladas were not baked, no cheese inside and only lightly sprinkled on top. No flavor and it was drowned in red sauce, more like red soup. We had 4 others at our table feeling the same way. Rice was dry and black beans were not... More

Restaurant was almost empty except for 3 locals. Arrived an hour before closing time. Food tasted as it was "pre-cooked & re-heated". One of the rare cases of exaggeration of ranking. I don't know if this is legal or not, but the restaurant levied a 20% on the bill as a gratuity because our family was 8 people "and asked... More

We stayed near by for Albany orientation. Found the other location 144 Washington avenue close to downtown Albany. You know what they say about those small holes in the wall the food is great and it truly was. Had the chicken fajitas and wAs so good and fresh. The margaritas were awesome will go back when visiting my son at... More

This review is for the Washington Ave restaurant since the other is closed due to a fire. The whole experience started off poorly. When we entered there were very few people seated. For some reason the hostess tried to seat us at an obscure, out of the way table next to the kitchen. When I balked she cheerily moved us... More

I always love a quick sit down meal at Mariachi's whenever I go back to visit friends. Their jalapeño poppers are fantastic. Their ingredients and decor are very inspired, very cozy atmosphere.

We stopped by after attending a hockey game at the Times Union Center. We didn't know anything about the service, # of tables, etc. so we put 2 hours worth of quarters in the meter. We were served so promptly that we were finished in under an hour. Very enjoyable experience. The chips and salsa served free of charge were... More

We went there recently hoping for some fish choices for Lent. We were thrilled to find many options, including some awesome choices on their "limited time" Spanish food menu. Keep in mind that this is a Mexican Restaurant and that is the type of food they are known for but we found the Spanish food to be decent. I have... More

Consistently good and authentic food, but don't order the American basics. Try the posole or tamales, and the creme de elote soup is top notch. Great outdoor patio area for when the weather allows. Lunch menu is sort of pedestrian, but good and a bargain.
