Love this family restaurant. I've met friends and family here for many different occasions. My husband and I often enjoy a quiet dinner here. I even had my son's 40th birthday party in the spacious room upstairs. Food is fabulous and the staff awesome. Highly recommend this wonderful and delicious venue.

If you have read my profile you know that I am conservative in my rankings. Caffe Italia came very very close to excellent all around in y book. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful Thirsday night dinner. We had reservations and I am glad we did. We arrived at 6:30 on a night when heavy thunderstorm warnings had been... More

For the second time in my life, I ordered fish. I plan to go back to do it again. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here on June 1st. We had requested one of the two window tables set for coupes. When I saw on the menu that they had my favorite dish, veal francaise which I had greatly... More

I'm a sucker for Italian food and this might be the best I've ever had. It's definitely on par with if not better than anything I've had in Boston's North End and definitely better than anything else I've had in the Capital District.

We just celebrated a big anniversary at Caffe Italia and, as usual, were absolutely blown away by how delicious everything was. From the moment you walk into the restaurant you feel like you've walked into Little Italy. The service is friendly and professional. I don't know if this is a family run business or not, but it certainly feels that... More

First time eating at Caffe Italian. It won't be my last. Went with a few coworkers and we all reaver about the quality and consistency. The bread was crusty yet soft on the inside. It was served with balsamic and oil with seasoning. We ordered Calamari for the appetizer and it was seasoned and breaded perfectly. I ordered the seafood... More

It may be a small seating area, but for a Wed. night it was packed and people waiting. The food is outstanding. The dinner began with a malbec from Argentina followed by a house salad dress in a tomato/basil vinegairette. The main course was Linguini with Fra Diavolo with Shrimp. The dish was just spicy enough not to be overpowering.... More

The shrimp dishes are spectacular with their sauces. This restaurant can be difficult to get in so I recommend reservations. It has the atmosphere of a NYC cafe. I have never had a meal short of excellent here. You can expect excellent service to go along with your meal. Do yourself a favor, take a break from the Italian chain... More

This place is run by transplants from NYC. My wife is originally from NYC and I from Boston and it's tough to find good food in the Capital Region. This is a consistent favorite of ours and several friends. The atmosphere is classic NYC neighborhood restaurant, which the deco is dated, but the food and service make up for it.... More
