I went to Caffe Italia for a business dinner with a large group and it was so good that I had to return a few weeks later. I had one of the best meals ever on both occasions. The lobster and crab ravioli was absolutely delicious and I made room for dessert because I heard their home made Tiramisu was... More

On my birthday, I get to pick the restaurant, and I always pick Caffe Italia. The service is so good and the food is great, so it always feels like a special treat. Every time you go there, you feel like you're in the company of a bunch of locals who know where to go to get the best food... More

You would never know, as you walk down the stairs to the entrance, that this will be one of the best meals you will ever have! The food is fresh, authentic and absolutely scrumptious - I have tried almost everything on the menu and have never gone wrong - and the service is attentive. The restaurant feels like a family... I visited here 3 years ago, this Friday, for my birthday, on a Monday night in October and I believe my meal and service deserve 5 stars. The Spaghetti Bolognese was spectacular, we both had it, and quite possibly the best I've ever had.... It wasn't very noisy or crowded.. It's hard to believe it could ever feel 'crowded' as... More

My fiancé and I were looking for a nice meal after an extremely long day. We had heard incredible things about the restaurant but it is an hour drive from us so we just hadn't found time for it as we work nights also. This restaurant is truly a gem. Family owned and operated with love oozing out of the... More

Caffe Italia is an old world family run restaurant in a so-so neighborhood in Albany. It has been around for over 30 years. The room is dated and tired but the family service and food will keep you coming back. We started with mussels in white wine and clams in a savory light red sauce. I asked for a spoon... More

The dining room is old school and somewhat no-frills, but the real star is the food. The menu covers all of your Italian basics, plus some more creative fare. My lobster and crab ravioli in a tarragon cream sauce was out of this world. The escarole side dish had the perfect amount of garlic. Even the coffee was good. I... More

One of the best meals I've had, and wonderful service. Both the fish and pasta were wonderful. I can't wait to go back. Very unassuming exterior -- don't be fooled!
