My fiancé and I were looking for a nice meal after an extremely long day. We had heard incredible things about the restaurant but it is an hour drive from us so we just hadn't found time for it as we work nights also. This restaurant is truly a gem. Family owned and operated with love oozing out of the... More

Caffe Italia is an old world family run restaurant in a so-so neighborhood in Albany. It has been around for over 30 years. The room is dated and tired but the family service and food will keep you coming back. We started with mussels in white wine and clams in a savory light red sauce. I asked for a spoon... More

The dining room is old school and somewhat no-frills, but the real star is the food. The menu covers all of your Italian basics, plus some more creative fare. My lobster and crab ravioli in a tarragon cream sauce was out of this world. The escarole side dish had the perfect amount of garlic. Even the coffee was good. I... More

Went for dinner. The dinner was just ok, nothing over the top other than the bill. Great service , better than normal to bad the food isn't as good as the service. On a one to ten, service a ten , food taste a 5.

One of the best meals I've had, and wonderful service. Both the fish and pasta were wonderful. I can't wait to go back. Very unassuming exterior -- don't be fooled!

My wife and I often wondered about Caffe Italia, and took a chance this past Valentine's Day. The experience was perfect! We've been to numerous NYC Italian restaurants, and as soon as we walked in that's what we thought of. Small, intimate. Wait staff was very friendly despite the place being packed on one of the busiest nights of the... More

Dinning room was small and very intimate. Food was good. Service wasn't to good. Restaurant was very busy and seems like they don't have enough staff to cater to customers. Pretty pricey but worth it. Don't expect great service tho they are extremely busy

I ate here twice two weeks apart before writing this review. The first time was at 5 pm before a hockey game and it was not very crowded. The second time was on a Sunday at 7 pm. The restaurant is small, seats about 50 people max, and is elegant. Prices are quite a bit higher than most Italian restaurants.... More

The food was great and plentiful. I thought the price was a bit high for what I had whhich was pasta primavera. I had no entries or desert or drink and it was 23.00 . the decor is nice and the service was very attentive and friendly

This is by far the best Italian Restaurant outside of New York City. The ambience is straight out of Little Italy. The service is very attentive and the food is out of this world delicious! It has been a while since we first came here many years ago when the family's mother and father ran the kitchen but their children... More
