A restaurant that has been in business this long does so for good reason but, I can't honestly say what that would be judging from the night we visited. Their signature "eggplant parmigiana" stood up to the hype and was probably the best that I have ever tasted. Bread served was not good or Italian. I ordered the "grilled trio"... More

We had a family dinner (about 10) in a room on the second floor that also has a full kichen. The chef-owner and other cooks cooked right there, and were happy to converse with us. There were endless courses and the food was exquisite. There were endless antipasti, each one better than the last. What a treat!

Very good Italian food. Most entrees 25$ to 35$ but some of the pastas can be an entree or a starter. Specials in pasta and fish every night. Parking lot nearby despite downtown location.

I just love this place. I've been coming here for nearly 30 years. The food and service are consistently outstanding. The winelist is small, but corkage is allowed. My favorite restaurant in the Capital District. A very well run family restaurant that competes with the best in NYC. Was here most recently to celebrate my birthday.

We have always wanted to try this restaurant and finally did. Arrived a little bit early with another couple and had a few drinks at the bar - nice quite atmosphere - but drinks very expensive - $4.50 for a bottle of Coors Light - $10.50 for a glass of Josh - Cab. Atmosphere very nice - old Albany Italian.... More

Hmmmm. I'm a bit puzzled by some of the previous unflattering reviews. My husband & I have eaten here about 4 times. We like to eat here before seeing a show at the Egg which is very closeby. We've always had good food and service. I really enjoy the pizza - thin, chewy crust and nice toppings. My husband has... More

I though for the longest time that this restaurant was closed because I never saw it open during the day. I found out that it opened at 5pm. I entered and the atmosphere was very pleasant although there were very few diners. I was asked if I had a reservation, which I questioned in my mind since the restaurant was... More

We were in the Albany area for my son's sporting event. We love Italian dining and seek out the best no matter where we travel...and we have been all over the world. So of course, I did my homework on line to find out which Italian restaurant was worth a try. The reviews of Cafe Capriccio were pretty good...but we... More

Sorry,....but this was really not OK. I remember this place at the top of it's game, and that seemed a LONG time ago tonight. After drinks at the bar, the two of us were seated at a table for eight,...???!?!?!? We ordered two pasta dishes, and I ordered a glass of Chianti. I ordered the Wild Boar ragu, my wife... More

This is our second time visiting for dinner. The food has been good both times. I had pasta the first time which was very good and Pork Chops recently which was also good and spicy. The service is on point which really makes the evening enjoyable. I have three Italian places i enjoy locally and this is one of them.
