Great birthday dinner

I was treated to dinner at Yono's Restaurant. I chose the Jambalaya and my wife choose the Hoisin Salmon. Both dishes were very good examples of Yono's diverse menu items. Excellent use of taste and presentation. Cost of dinner was moderately expensive.

This place is about as fancy as Albany gets. Their chef has left since we dined so take that into consideration. We had a tasting menu which was alright. Nothing really stood out as being great but nothing was bad. The food was beautiful - not a common sight in this area. It could fit in with no problem in... More

This has to be the classiest and one of the very best restaurants in Albany. We went there last night (12/30) and, as usual, were greeted by a very attentive and able staff. The waiter was fully prepared to discuss the menu choices, distinguishing well between the duck special and the duck regular menu item. I had the Peking duck... More

We attended a holiday party at Yono's and everything was exceptional. The appetizers, drinks, main meal, dessert, and service were all perfect. The staff were very attentive and went out of their way to make sure that all guests were completely satisfied. We were in a semi private room which was very nice for a large group (about 25 people).... More

Went to Yono's for the first time in September. I'll admit walking in the front door of a restaurant that was attached to a hotel I was slightly skeptical. The overall look was lovely...I was just expecting something a little more fine-tuned if you will. We approached the hostess stand and the young lady was very well dressed and pleasant.... More

I've eaten at fine dining restaurants in Montreal, Buenos Aires, Sydney, Melbourne, Rio, LA, Vegas, Tokyo & Seoul in the last 12 months and this dinner was by far my favorite. Every bite of my entree was to die for. Definitely want to request to be seated in the dining room, as the bar area is quite noisy (as to... More

Don't be put off by the first room you come into when you arrive at Yono's. It's a bar and bistro setting which is very noisy. The restaurant is in a different room, which is quieter and more pleasant. We went "all-Indonesian" and the wait staff was helpful with our wish to have a full rijstafael plus a couple of... More

Two old friends had a wonderful dinner with great attentive service. We enjoyed meeting the entire staff but Josh sealed the deal. Tuna tartare and lobster tamarind soup started the dinner followed by scallops and monkfish entrees. We shared a dessert that had many forms of chocolate. I'm not sure when we will get back to Albany but if we... More
