Had a wonderful dinner here with friends during a weekend visit from Boston. The food was inspired and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is very nice, elegant but comfortable and the waitstaff was very attentive and knowledgeable. I had Artic Char which was delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The accompanying vegetable medley was fresh and cooked crisp. My husband had the... More

Have never had a bad meal at Yono's. Worth every penny you want to spend on food. An extensive wine list all kinds all prices. Their lamb and duck to die for. If you are in this area please don't leave without eating at Yono's you will not be disappointed.

We sat at the bar. We ate here because we were staying in Hampton Inn. The first impression was being overwhelmed with varying menus - one was supposed to be casual dining and the other fine dining (I think). But some of the items were on both menus - just greatly varying prices. One such item was the Short Ribs... More

This place needs to find a happy medium between the casual DP – small plates, etc. in the bar area – and the much too fussy “fine dining” in the very formal dining room. We were off to a scary start when four waitstaff arrived. One handed us the menu and announced that the appetizers were on the left; the... More

I was looking to WOW my guy for his birthday dinner --- and Yono's did not disappoint. Absolutely fantastic dining experience -- comparable to Victoria & Albert's (in WDW) -- beyond what either of us expected. Do not be fooled (and try not to be turned-off) by the fact that this elegant, private (15 tables total) dining experience is housed... More

Yono's is a wonderful place to go for a special occasion. Beautiful setting, friendly but professional service. To start, we were served an amuse bouche-- lovely creamy asparagus bisque. For appetizer, we had the Hand Rolled Vegetable Lumpia -- crispy on the outside, crunchy on the inside, tasty sauce. For dinner, I had the main course portion of Bakmi Goreng... More

Couldnt decide between a cheese platter (small plate) or a chacuterie (small plate). BOTH SOUNDED WONDERFUL! I mentioned my dilemma to the waitress. She felt the chef could combine them for me. A little while later out comes this fabulous silver platter with an artistically aranged beautiful combo platter of both the cheese platter and the chacuterie platter. I must... More

Yono (Yono's), and his son Dominic (DP's) provide the best restaurant experience in Albany. I always stay at the Hampton Inn when I'm in town because I eat at DP's every night. Yono, Dominic's father also has his restaurant that has an amazing menu (little upscale for a solo business trip). Very friendly atmosphere with great food and awesome people.... More

The food was very good and the place was certainly full. My only negative comment was that it took about an hour for the kitchen to produce a simple salad during lunch, which is not acceptable. So, I'd only suggest going there if you have some time to kill. If you're on a work schedule at lunch, this could be... More
