I have memories of dining at Grandma's going back decades... never disappointed.. My go to was always the corned beef Ruben... ordered it tonight and it was not good..I couldn't even finish it... I'm very disappointed....The place was not in the shape I expected either... ... its the end of an era...

Visited this past weekend. Looks nice walking in, the menu is varied and the food ordered by my party of 5 was good. (Country type of food, and good home made pies). The waitresses kind of get confused with the order, and then once served, we needed to call out for her to come back.

Prices are great. Chicken and biscuits were outrageously good and the price was amazing. (it was a dinner special, soup or salad, dinner and a piece of pie for $8.95!) Tried 4 different pies over 2 days, all excellent though the cherry was my favorite! My 10 year old granddaughter said this is her favorite restaurant in the whole world.!

Dad and I stop by Grandma's every time we visit the Albany area and are never disappointed. Their French Onion Soup is among the best I've ever had and anything on their menu is sure to please. Dad always enjoys (and this time managed to finish) one of their gigantic specialty burgers, this time with Cheddar, Bacon and Grilled Onions.... More

This is really a no frills restaurant that serves "grandma's" styled foods. The lunches we had were fresh and hot. Very reasonably priced.

Heard the food and "PIES" @ Grandma's was excellent..............so delish have been back 3-4 times. They have specials everyday that includes a slice of their wonderful pies. We always bring a pie or 2 back home w/ us. Have to say the pie crust is the best we've ever had @ any restaurant.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel (they raved about it). When we arrived it was Sunday am we got a seat right away, but while we were there the lines built. The decor was a hodge podge of things and felt claustrophobic since every surface was covered. The food was average at best. Orange juice was watery not... More

I was debating between 3 & 4 stars but decided on 3 because my cup of (per their website) "World Famous" Cream of Turkey Soup was only lukewarm. They have lunch specials Mon. to Fri. I found out later that the specials on a blackboard when you 1st walk in weren't the same as in the menu. For example, they... More

I have lived in Colonie for over 25 years and in the Capital District another 25 and have eaten at and purchased Grandma’s pies on numerous occasions over the years. However, after the way I was treated this morning, this is one costumer that won’t be spending her hard earned money at this establishment. I made what should have been... More

My first visit with friends who'd been here before. Apparently it is always decorated for whichever holiday is coming up next. Our waitress (Chrissy) was fun, informative, and gave good reviews about whichever dishes she was asked. Out food was good, homemade style fare, in ample proportions for a group of guys who can be hearty eaters. I was stuffed... More
