We went as a group of 12 over this past weekend and were appalled at the service and quality of the food. I had the Beef wellington (28.95) which included a burnt mushroom duxelle, a undercooked phyllo dough shell that was burnt on the bottom, and a 5 oz piece of tenderloin (not prime grade), with hardly enough demi glace... Our server, David, and our additional waitstaff were very personable and attentive to our needs. Haddock stuffed with crabmeat was excellent! Salad bar good especially the sharp cheddar and fresh Italian bread. Unfortunately no room for dessert. Would recommend highly and I was glad to have had a nice dining experience.

It a fine place for a family style steak dinner. Nothing spectacular, but I enjoyed it. Location is good.

Cool steak knives but very dull. Small steak, big price. If you want to take Momma somewhere nice. Well then don't take her here. But hey at least I paid a lot. Recommended really, come on!

This is a great family restaurant or business restaurant. Can't go wrong here. Good staks and good seafood. I highly recommend. DeltaWhiskey

We were visiting family in Albany and I attended a conference during the day - my husband asked our hotel staff where would be a good place to eat if we wanted steak. They recommended the Barnsider restaurant. First off, my mother-in-law had a stroke and there was no place for her to enter the restaurant without difficulty. We waited... More

Nice steak place. Very casual, not stuffy. Very attentive staff and very nice menu. When you turn onto the side street off of Wolf Road, the restaurant is on the left just past the shopping center on the right. Plenty of parking.

I went to Bonefish Grille after an academic conference and the nice guy sitting next to me in the bar told me about the Barnsider. I ended up going there and was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it is large and it seems not a lot of money spent on decor (really drab bar area) but the food was fantastic. I had... More

This restaurant was quite large, noisy & very popular on a Friday night, therefore noise levels were a bit high. However the quality of the food, & the excellent service explained that. There is a broad menu,( although they are a steakhouse) including seafood, veal , chicken & excellent steaks ( mine was superb ) apparently they have their own... More

Have been going to Bsider for over 40 yrs when it was attached to Colonie Center. How could they ruin such a good thing? Service: 6PM on a slow Thurs night, hostess tried to seat our party of 4 in the wayback, then in wallkway; we asked why we couldn't sit in main part of restaurant- a huff for an... More
