I ate dinner here while staying next door at the Hotel Indigo. The sushi was good and made fresh to order. My only complaint was the price. I had three sushi rolls and a glass of water. My bill, before tip, was $33.

Friends invited us to join them at one of their favorite restaurants: Koto We sat at a Hibachi table (reserved ahead) and enjoyed watching the chef juggle his implements and set flames erupting on the Hibachi. My friend and I had steak; our husbands had chicken. The food was flavorful and tender. On a previous visit to a Japanese restaurant... More

The best sushi in the area! but the drinks are EXPENSIVE. It was my first experience at a hibachi grill and I've yet to find a place that does as good of a job with presentation, service/atmosphere and quality.

We visited 8/4/14. After having a crazy unexpected day we tried something new and went here for dinner. My son wanted Hibachi and we thought we could all use some enjoyment at that moment. It was 6pm and there were 3 adults and 1 child. We were seated immediately. Our drink order was taken immediately and when drinks were delivered... More

Koto is one of my two or three favorite restaurants in the Capital District. The tea is the best in the area and the food is always reliably excellent. I once asked if they would prepare something that was not on the menu and after excusing herself to check with the chef, the waitress came back smiling and said the... More

Sushi is always the best! Highly recommend the Salmon Carpaccio!! (out of this world). Service is second to none, atmosphere is good, people are friendly and most of all it is a family friendly restaurant:) Visit KOTO when in the Capital Region!

I had the opportunuity to eat at Koto at the beginning of March while stopping off briefly in Albany. I was with 4 colleagues, all of whom ordered the shrimp and I stuck to the steak. The food was very good and the atmosphere pretty average. The staff was helpful and pleasant. It was a little difficult to converse around... More

not great, not bad…typical Japanese steakhouse fare…seems the Americanization of global cuisine is doing nothing but making it bland
