I stopped in at the City Beer Hall with five coworkers on a Thursday Night around 8pm. It was not busy and there were plenty of open tables. It was difficult to get service (it took around 45 minutes for a waitress to come take our orders) and it was not possible to get drink service at the tables. On... More

Cool interior and an extensive beer menu with yummy strong mixed drinks, too. Menu is not exactly healthy but the grilled chicken sandwich was delicious. Waitress was friendly and very accommodating. Seated at picnic tables - kind of loud but to be expected for this type of venue.

Last night was my first time there. Apparently they just started with a new menu. It's nice when a restaurant identifies the food on it's menu as gluten free and vegan. It was also nice that they had a small selection of gluten-free beer. We were all pleased with our meals especially the burger. The free pizza with a beer... More

I had fun just relaxing and watching sports at this bar..I enjoyed the food which is much better than your average bar food..I really liked the sample brews,,I sampled what the bartender suggested and they were all pretty good. The bartender gave me a ticket for a free pizza,,I could barely hear her so I am not sure why I was... The bar has a great atmosphere, it makes us want to like it there more than we actually did. But I would highly recommend NOT eating their food. Go here for drinks after eating dinner somewhere else. We tried dinner here this past weekend and the food was awful, fish and chips soggy and tasteless, a dinner from their "Restaurant... More

Our group went to the Beer Hall for the second time after an all day meeting . We always have a wonderful time when we go every April . The wait staff is wonderful . The food is very good . I am not a beer drinker , but my friends are. They really enjoy the various beers . I... More

We were spending the night in Albany, and despite the sleet and ice storm, we met friends for dinner at The City Beer Hall. The building is on a 'curved corner' and is housed in an interesting, old building with the inscription "OFFICES" over the door. Inside, I was surprised to see the place filled with picnic tables and benches,... More

Visited Albany with a friend and went to this bar after seeing good reviews. At 4:00 pm we were arbitrarily cut off by a power hungry flannel wearing manager. I'm not joking. After 2 beers. We were told we could have other beers on the menu but not the one we were requesting. We thought it was in jest but... More

We went after Thanksgiving for dinner and good beer. Had a great selection on tap. They did only offer one IPA and kicked the keg after we ordered. I like that they offer 8oz pours. Good way to have 2 or 3. They give you a ticket for a free indi pizza with each beer purchase. We went the first... More

I have no idea really why I love this bar so much. Parking is horrible (there is a parking garage...somewhere....haven't found it). I usually park on the street several blocks away. The building is old and has a historic feel. Every drink here earns you a personal pizza. The pizza isn't something spectacular, it's a flatbread with sauce and cheese,... More
