I will start off by saying there is absolutely no parking, or easy parking, for this establishment. I parked over on State St then cut across Lodge St to City Beer Hall. I visited City Beer Hall for happy hour after work with some co-workers. A very clean, nice place with great service. The staff seemed to be Yuppie/Underground types... More

Stopped in for a drink, ended up with a couple more due to the excellent service and selection. Plenty of craft beer selections and great bar staff would bring me back. Open seating in the bar, basically giant picnic tables for main seating. Not sure if it's every night but wed night had buy a pint, get a free pizza... More

The menu was amazing!! Excellent food and service! There were 7 of us and there was something for everyone's taste! Great space inside, but the parking was tough.

Great place to spend time sampling a variety of beers. The tortilla pizzas that are free were not bad. The asian wings we ordered were nice and spicy. My wife and I make this bar one of our stops whenever we are in Albany.

This review is based solely on the brunch menu. I also recommend this place for some late night drinks- it's fun & you get tortilla pizzas! The dining area of The City Beer Hall is interesting in the way that it is outfitted with large picnic-like tables. For a party of 2 or 3 (which seemed to be the norm... More

We stopped in for a quick bite and had two great salads and oysters. Both were great and our server (Jeff) was great.

My husband and I came and watched the second half of a World Cup game here because Wolffs down the street was so over crowded. We loves the atmosphere. And I lived that they give you a mini piZza with the purchase of a beer over a certain amount. We also order some really really delicious wings while watching the... More

Stopped in Albany for a quick lunch when we were driving through. Happened to pull up nearby restaurants on my phone and this place came up. It was a slow Monday afternoon but perfect for my boyfriend who loves craft beer. With each drink you get a ticket for a free pizza so we ended up each getting a pizza... More

While in town for work, several of us were dining at Bongiorno (separate review) when the waitress recommended we try the Beer Hall for its impressive array of beer. Well, we couldn’t pass on that opportunity and off we went for beer tasting! I recommend The Flight, which delivers 4 – 5oz. draft beers of your choice from the rotating... More

Yes, service is slow but the food and menu are part of the reason. The beer menu is EXTENSIVE The food menu is interesting and the food is prepared with care. The atmosphere is beer hall with picnic tables inside and out. Great for large groups of family or friends. Not good for children. Definitely a fun vibe. ( it... More
