Hidden gem for great lunch

Downtown but off the beaten path. Look for it if you want GREAT beer choices, and great sandwiches, and fabulous chips, in a simple, rustic ambience.

My friend and I originally had intentions of having a quiet, romantic dinner at Café Capriccios in downtown Albany. But, my friend, who lives in the area asked if I would be willing to consider something totally different…and I am so glad that we did!!!! Despite the busy atmosphere and noise of the place (busy for a Tuesday night), it... More

The food was excellent and an amazing beer selection. The gimmick (which was not explained by the waitress before we ordered dinners) is that there is a ticket system, which awards you a ticket for each beer purchased (they also awarded one for wine). The patron then goes to the kitchen to turn in the ticket for an individual-pizza (surprisingly... More

Being somewhat of a beer coniser (an English man), I really enjoyed this place. To start with, its massive, a really big ares inside. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The prices were quite good for premium quality beers. I didn't eat there so I can't speak on the quality of the food.

Went for Sunday brunch and had a seat at the bar. Fairly busy mid day Sunday with a good crowd. Great beer selection the bartender was very helpful and personable. I enjoyed my meal and the other dishes around me looked good too. I'll be back when I'm up that way.

The beer hall is a great place with great food. Parking is plenty and there is a free thin crust pizza with every beer. The service is ehhhhhh. Sort of self-important wait staff that likes to take their time but otherwise an overall great place. Oh...and good brunch.

I went to The City Beer Hall with some friends and we had a good time. The food was good but not excellent. The service was not so faster but the waitress asked if we need some drinks. The beers were the best. They have a good selection of beers that everybody enjoyed. There is not so much parking available.

I always have a lot of fun when I go here. Mostly we go for a night out, and they always have great beer on draft. Plus, you get free pizza with every large drink you order! I wish more places did that!
