Great beer selection and good food

Excellent selection of beers. Thankfully you won't find Miller Lite on tap here. Food selection is similarly good. I was disappointed that my meat was overcooked. My friend's dish was also too well done. Tasty, but left in the heat for a tad too long. For the high price of each dish, I... read more

My friend and I decided on City Beer Hall for Restaurant week as it seemed to have one of the bigger menus at the discounted price. It was decent. The food was good, not great. The cocktails were super expensive ($12 for a martini?! This isn't NYC people). I really dislike the family style seating. The picnic table seating where... More

Lots of atmosphere here. Large main room with fireplace and picnic table style seating. Large outdoor deck for the warmer months. Enjoy all menus here. Brunch especially. Vegetarians can find a nice meal here too. Great craft beers.

Staying in Albany for work and fell upon the Beer Hall down the street from our hotel. You walk through red velvet curtains to an open floor plan and wooden tables... We wanted drinks and we wanted food. We ordered the burger, the pulled pork sandwich, and the fried chicken. The burger was perfectly medium with homemade pickles, the pulled... More

We went to The City Beer Hall on a recommendation and we were not disappointed! Wait staff was excellent, the array of beers was fanrastic and the food was incredible! Plus you get a free pizza with every order of beer!

Good atmosphere, decent food, and a well-rounded drink selection---especially of the on-tap beers/ciders. Was here as part of a private party---and they kept up with the crowd very well. The bartenders were pros, and the place was definitely cleaner & better maintained than most bars in the area.

What a fun place to eat or hang out or drink. The atmosphere, albeit a bit loud at times, feels good. Waitstaff were very friendly and accommodating. Family style tables invite friendliness in a city that seems like it could use some new life. Food was fresh and excellent (Hummus, veggie burger)- definitely gastrolicious and not just your status quo.... More

Fun bar, good food, fun bull riding upstairs when it works...it has been out of service or blocked for private parties too often lately

This is one of the nicest bars that I have ever been in. Huge selection of local beers and great basic food. Great old workmanship with beautiful moldings and a huge fire place that adds warmth on a cold day.
