The menu is small, but was well executed from what I saw. I was drawn by the fact that they had a cassoulet and quail on the menu. That's pretty unusual. Back patio is a nice space when weather permits. I was there with two other guys, both of whom were also satisfied. Would visit again when in Albany.

Awesome wine selection and small plates...Fresh and varied, love the pate and salad. The fireplaces are cozy in the winter, outdoor tables charming in nice weather.

This is our first time in Albany. We came to see RPI for my son studies next August. We love to try new places . Since we have ate in Troy where we had a very good experience!!! We thought of giving a try to the Albany area. After a long research I found that Lark st was known for... More

Lower level on a cute brownstone type area of Albany. Cozy spot. Wines are interesting and plenty to choose from. Reasonable $9/glass. Description of food sounds delicious, however, the results were 50/50. Lamb shanks were disappointing. Had to fight to get them off the bone. My friend liked the salmon, Another had the chicken cassoulet. Both said they were good.... More

What a unique place. Little brick rooms, very cozy and romantic with fireplaces. Food and service were fine. Prices were...pricey. I was a but shocked at portion sizes, although it was good quality.

The Wine Bar is an excellent place for small, intimate dining. It's in a dimly-lit basement space that seems to wrap around into little nooks. Order a bottle of wine and a few plates to share. Also, the rear terrace is very nice on warm summer nights. The menu is eclectic and everything is well prepared. Highly recommended.

We had six of us, all staying just up the street at Morgan State House, just a short walk away. Sit at the table outside in the rear, although the basement spaces look cozy. Our server was great, she remembered six wine by the glass choices without writing anything down! We decided to attack the starter portion of the menu... More

The small, charming bistro was a recommended by the staff at the Morgan State House. It is below street level with a wine cellar vibe and has a rear terrace. The food is simply sublime. I started with the grilled asparagus with mushroom, fried egg and grana padano shavings followed by the lamb chops, with slow baked eggplant and what... More

My family lives in the country outside of Albany and we decided to head to the "big city" for dinner the last time we were visiting. The nice thing about the Albany area is the highways are in pretty good shape and the traffic is rarely bad. On the way to the restaurant, you do pass through some run-down areas... More
