NOT a hotel restaurant

So, we were staying near the Albany airport and looked for a nearby restaurant (lots of chains available, but that's really not our thing). Saw the listing on Trip Advisor for Blu Stone Bistro and decided to check it out. Our first reaction, when we saw it was attached to Hotel Indigo, was to... read more

Connected to the Hotel Indigo, the restaurant features a cozy bar, a nice deck for outdoor dining and a well appointed dining room. The menu is designed around small plates, but also includes full entrees. We had a delicious flatbread pizza with onions, brie, carmelized onion spread and arugula as an appetizer and then worked our way through several other... More

Menu is mostly sandwiches and flatbreads with a few entrees. Very good wine list. It's a nice alternative to the chain restaurants around the corner on Wolf Rd. Service is very friendly (and was patient with us for our late-arriving colleague). Flatbreads were hot and fresh out of the oven; choice of 6 or so. Pomme frites were delicious, crispy... More

Our company stays at the Hotel Indigo in Albany and I am so glad! I look forward to traveling to Albany because it means that I get to eat at Blu Stone. The beers on tap are good (and you get a free one if you are staying at the hotel as a priority club member). The waiter will then... More

Went here as we were staying across the street for a conference. The decor is hip and nice. We both had the flatbreads and they were excellent. Menu is high end and eclectic. Food is very good but a bit pricy. Seemed me NYC prices than Albany.

Went for dinner one night while in town on business. Excellent service from Jen at the bar. Decent beer selection as well. Had a lobster BLT. It was good, but was missing something, a little boring. Fries were fine. It is not was I call cheap, but not crazy either. Menu looked very diverse, maybe I just grabbed the wrong... More

From the moment my friend and I entered we felt welcomed. The hostess and bartender both greeted us warmly and seated us immediately. Our drinks were served quickly and our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. We had the beet salad and the sautéed scallops w/spinach which was the best I've ever tasted. I felt that food was prepared... More

My husband and I had our wedding after party at Blu Stone Bistro at the end of May and we were extremely dissatisfied for several reasons. 1. We ordered appetizers to have out when our guests arrived, including a 50 piece chicken tender. That order definitely did not have 50 pieces in it (I believe it was an order of... More

I tasted several dishes, and ate hear several times during a week stay here for business. This is a pretty good restaurant, and a a nice break from commercial or fast food, while traveling on business. It's a little pricey, but if your looking for a nice experience and a good meal, for a date or for business, this will... More

Chose to eat here out of convenience as we are staying at Hotel Indigo for an early morning flight. Pleasantly surprised by the wonderful meal, attentive service and private dining room for our party of 5 which was nice after being on vacation for a week with two tired boys (8 and 5) we didn't mind letting them play on...
