Great food and atmosphere

The food was very good. Prepared very well with fresh ingredients. Service was friendly and quick. Again, the food was VERY good! It looks like they are re-doing the Central Avenue location (and changing the name). Looking forward to trying the new place.

I can only describe my recent visit to Blue Spice as disappointing. We had been there before and enjoyed the food so went back with guests. It was not very busy, with many empty tables. We were seated promptly and ordered our food not too long after being seated. It took over 1 hour to receive our meals! We noticed... More

Food very good, large portions and reasonable prices for lunch. Very attentive service although not busy. Don't use the bathrooms before you eat, you probably won't want to order...dirty, ceilings have water leak problems, no heat...and I mean ice cold toilets. Would go back, all that said to try another dish. We had blue chicken but replaced with tofu. Again... More

Just visited for the second time, enjoying a delicious lunch with my family. Everything from the salad and noodle soup to the pad Thai and steak salad was expertly prepared and tasted as great as it looked! I especially like how both the prices and portions are lunch-appropriate. While the servers were not the most professional, they were very attentive,... More

The restaurant itself is quite lovely and the menu prices are slightly high although there are a few items that are a good value. The pad Thai is a standout as is the Tom Ka Gai soup. Service is disproportionately slow. We were seated for a while before even approached. And people who arrived after us ate before us. That's... More

The restaurant had a mass appeal but this goes away once they seat you down. After seating us down in a cramp table on top of table area (to make room for the sunken in tables- ONLY available for parties of 6 or more) nobody approached us for a good 15 minutes to offer us drinks. When we finally asked... More

Felt like eating some spicy Thai food and went there with a friend: very happy I did! The place is very BLUE (well - getting there I understood why it is called "Blue Spice"). but other than this theme - all the rest is very well executed: EXCELLENT and attentive service! and delicious food! We've been there for lunch and... More

Great lunch. The steamed dumpling appetizer is the best I can remember having anywhere. Outstanding tofu noodle soup. Chicken Kai Soi and Pad See Eew were both great. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is above what I expect in Upstate NY. This place is excellent.

I have been to Blue Spice on 3 occasions for Birthday's or Mother's Day etc. I have never had a good experience. Table service is very slow and the wait staff seems unapologetic. The food is fairly good, but not the best Thai I have ever had, certainly not worth sitting for 3 hours, as we did one Mother's day.... More

Even though we had a reservation at Blue Spice in Colonie we had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. They were very disorganized in finding us a place to sit and then again it took a long time for our order to be taken and delivered. The food was nicely presented but extremely salty. Pad Thai was average... More
